allegedly 456 - thoughts ?
Pros - enthusiasm, good array of guests with Degale, Burns. Buncey and the rest doing well.
Cons - Broadcast quality. Really misty picture for me, sometime bright, sometimes too dark. Sound EQ - one minute loud, next inaudible. When the tall fella starts interviewing it's like i've got water in my ears from going swimming !
Technical aside, the content is pretty smooth and I'm enjoying the show.

Re: allegedly 456 - thoughts ?
Keeps cutting out, some teething problems for sure. It doesn't feel settled.

Great fight. I thought Razak stepped off a bit, worried he'd blow any future bookings !alexpaterson wrote:What a cracking fight!! Razak going for it

Its been brilliant so far.
Iffy lighting and momentary outages havent taken the gloss off it whatsoever for me.

One thing I am loving is, we havent got the "break to adverts" that Sky dish up in between rounds. I honestly thought Shinkwin was done for there.

Enjoying the show, the TV production needs to improve.
- More cameras, more angles.
- Better camera work - either keep interviewer on screen or off screen.
The chin and nose in the top left corner looks really amateurish.
- More/better lighting.
- Sound adjustment.
Some parts very loud, others too low.
And please give Rawling and Maccarinnelli some headset mics.
Smooth out broadcast.
Screen goes black every once in a while.
Thankfully, all of the above are easy enough to do something about.
The actual show is good enough for me.
Crowd seems to be loving it as well.

Agree, Enzo's sounding good. Positive, good delivery and picking up some interesting technical points. After years of listening to poor old Duke stumbling about and Watt (who I rate) whining like hell, it's a refreshing change.alexpaterson wrote:Impressed with the channel so far, Maccerenelli is a superb commentator!!
Would be a lot happier if he made it a full time career rather than fighting.

I like Ronald, remember him getting a bit of stick on here but he comes across as a top gent.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Ronald McIntoshslapbangwhallop wrote:cant remember his name but he has been doing BBC Boxing (commonwealth, Olympics, amateur) stuff for years.yid14 wrote:Who is the the wanna-be Jonny Nelson interviewer?

Glad I'm watching this on a 26" screen, definition looks pish, must be hell on a big screen....
Re: allegedly 456 - thoughts ?
Good to see plenty of the undercard. Get the black screen now and again but it doesn't last for long. Can't complain for their 1st show tho, will only get better. Decent amount of interviews and looks like they'll get a lot of pundits from warren's stable.

Surprisingly competitive fights considering the match ups???
Re: allegedly 456 - thoughts ?
Its the first night, but it has more of a chat show feel than I would like.... especially at the start - it was Degale who got to plug his fight, then Burns who plugged his fight..... I'm sure when the channel is more established it will be less like that.broomy7s wrote:Good to see plenty of the undercard. Get the black screen now and again but it doesn't last for long. I hope Richard Keys is only there for the opening night, he aint bad just Dempsey and Rosenthal are so much better talking boxing.
Nice to see Mike Goodhall doing the MC ing..... its been too long since he has been on TV.

This isnt bad - good to see boxing get a platform on its own channel to showcase some fighters - here's hoping it continues!
Even Sky lost money for years before they struck it rich - hope in 20 years (or less) we have boxing back where it belongs!

Hey at the end of the day its free. Early days & a few teething problems, but first couple of fights there has been plenty action. The only way is up I am sure they will learn from their mistakes.

Anyone else becoming aware of a desire to buy some Reebok trainers, join The Army and then punch and inflatable man in the chest while drinking Smirnoff?
