I seem to recall that Riddick Bowe was in prison for a while and only was released in May 2004 following Lennox Lewis's retirement. I don't think he could have started his comeback while in prison.

I'm willing to bet that if Lewis was still active & dominant, Bowe would not be fighting.

He could have come back long before now.

I don't see how Lennox Lewis fighting professionally would prevent Bowe from making a comeback. Lewis and Bowe were both fighting during 1989-1996.
