Has anyone been tipped off on a date in which Hatton is fighting next, by the looks of his condition I cannot see it being to next year. I'm not going to dis him after what he has done, but I do hope to see him fight more than twice a year in future.

The reason why I am asking is with Hatton seemingly almost opponent less in the immediate future and maybe something in the works screwing up Lacy vs Calzaghe (lets hope not) then how about an inter promotions bill between Hennessey and Warren.

Calzaghe vs Froch
Hatton vs Witter.

With the ITV connection of all four fighters this might see the ratings go up to in the 10 million range.

unfortunately there's no chance of hatton fighting witter,no matter how many people want to see it.

I'm hoping the thing that could screw up Lacy - Calzaghe is Robin Reid...

You reckon Calzaghe would rematch Reid?

Mundine - Green sounds like it's in the works. That'll be a corker.

Kessler stands out for me as the best opponent Calzaghe can face if he doesn't get the winner of the Reid bout.

I'm worried about an injury that puts either Lacy or Reid out of action for some time. Calzaghe cannot stick around at 12 stone for much longer.

I don't understand why he's still there now. The division won't make him serious moolah at the moment, the only way he'll get close to earning what he could to fight Jones, Tarver or Johnson would be to fight Lacy (and waiting around for one man is daft) or to go to Denmark to fight Kessler. He's said for years that he's killing himself to make the weight and there are greener pastures IMO.

i'd be inclined to agree with you on this, sep means he would be going into training camp about now and boy does he look like he aint been near a gym for a while. (JUNE 6TH to be precise)

Im one of hattons bighgest fans but k'inell ive never seen him this bloated before, no offence to Ricky as he always does a great job of being in shape come fight night but i mean he looks border line obese at the moment.

Why is Hatton not fighting again until December? Would be good to see him back in action sooner, if he started training now for an October/November fight he will have had a couple of months off which is ample rest. Lets hope he doesnt become a champion who only fights twice a year.

Come on guys.

Carl Froch will never put his hands up.

David Haye will always gas out.

Joe Calzaghe will alway sbe fighting a top guy AFTER his next fight.

And Ricky Hatton will always ballon between fights. Lets move on.

He gives himself 12-14 weeks to get in shape, providing he has a motivating opponent and good nutrional and training advice he will be fine.

Sure he's not gonna be fighting at 38....but I doubt Ricky wants to.

He'll be retired by 30 I suspect.

agreed mate my point was just that he looked abnormally big at present.
you know its not like me to say these things about "our ricky" but blimey i did think to myself fuckinell he must be nearly 14 stone or so.
