Would a one off SPORTS PAYMENT be better?

As in you buy a season ticket for say £200.00 per year andd get access to all the main channerls and off shoots of sky?

Sky Sports would take the lions share of revenue and the rest paid to the others on a current market share basis?


Eg.

Sky Sports take £100.00
ESPN take £30.00
Primetime £30.00
Premier £20.00
allegedly £20.00

I very much doubt it pal. I think we currently pay the below per year
Sky Sports £192
ESPN £120
Primetime £50
Premier £50
allegedly £120

Why would these subscribers want to more than half (in some instances) their revenue? You're talking almost £500 annually.

Alot of people aren't interested in boxing so will question why would they want that channel. Major boxing fans aren't interested in ESPN so why waste their money on that.

I can see what you're thinking but it would never take off and the cost would be closer to £500 a year

£500 a year on watching sport in your living room + your TV licence at £145.50 and your basic Sky platform at £240. By the time you've shelled out for a handful of PPVs you're approaching a grand!!! You people are either minted or mental.

To answer the opening question: I think Josh is right, why would Sky make less in order for their competitors to make more? Or am I not grasping the concept correctly?

It might lead to more buys which will generate more revenue. You get all sport events and builds not only boxing but every sport.

Not that it will ever happen but it would be great if on Sky you could just pay for the sport you wanted.
