This is a tough fight indeed, for Murray. He is strong but strong enough to hold off Rios? Rios hits harder than Mitchell and doubtful whether Murray has enough power himself to trouble Rios.

Rios grinds him, fairly convincingly. He is a guy on the up whereas Murray has somewhat stumbled. Very unlike Warren, this. There has to be some reason he decide to throw Murray into this.

Not sure he had the power to beat a Rios, he is fighting someone who fights in a similiar style, who is unbeaten and hits harder. So it was always going to be tough one.

How can a fighter be allowed to contest for a 'World' title after a loss?...Not only that but after a knockout loss! This totally devalues a 'World' title and more so devalues boxing.
Also if Murray happened to win how can we have a 'World' champion who's just been defeated by another British fighter? Does it make sense?...So to get a big fight, a 'World' title shot we're better off losing a domestic big fight before hand to do so?! ..Where is the incentive?....And how is it right??

Totally agree with this, if he'd lost by Split/Majority decision or even by close points then fine but he lost by TKO and shouldn't be allowed to contest for a world title, i'm sure a few of the Boxing organisations have a rule like this in place.

Rios is just a better version of John Murray, Murray might get early success but before long Rios will start walking through him and doing to Murray what Murray's done to so many others. Late stoppage for Rios as Murray is a gutsy lad

Coming off the back of a knockout loss to a domestic puncher, and then travelling to America to fight the WBA champion, division and Ring #1 ... and a widely regarded bad ass is not going to do John's career any good whatsoever long term.

He's lost to a 7/10 fighter and is now going straight in with a 9/10 fighter.

There is no way Murray is going to change his style in such a short space of time. And if he gets destroyed, it could have long-lasting repercussions on him for the remainder of his career.

Rios is a beast. He is looking for Maidana next and has already blasted-out Urbano Antillon in 3 rounds, and knocked out Acosta too.

Antillon had a war with Soto - and yet was wiped out by Rios, who is on fire right now.

This wont be a gallant Macklin v Sturm fight, it's a mismatch I'm sad to say.

A little worrying this after Murray had been broken down by Kevin Mitchell. We know he is tough, and we know he is going to give it a go, but we also know he is going to ship a lot of punishment - being a fairly static target for someone as dangerous as Rios isn't going to end well.

I hope he can pull it off and appreciate as Coco said he'll be picking up a good wage, but if he losses this and losses it badly as a lot of people are predicting, then his career will be on a downward spiral that it'll be really tough to come back from

Think you are missing the point mate. Not saying John can't come back and become a world titlist (although that may be a stretch), its just he needs to rebuild after a tough loss. Khan fought Fagan as a comeback from Prescott before Barrera and then faced Kotelnik. Those are the two sort of fights Murray needs before Rios.
