Should Naz be inducted into the IBHOF?

I aint sure if it is 5 years from the announcement or 5 years from the HoF day - so maybe he just misses the cut.

Given the type of fighter they are putting in now - he will be a certainty in the near future. Only real advantage Ottke and DM have is fame in the respected home countries. They were bigger stars in Germany and Poland (DM) than Hill was in the states... but in terms of Achievements I would give Hill a definate edge.

Hill losing to Hearns is enough for him not to get into the IBHOF for me. Hall of famers beat blown up, aging welterweights.

I liked Hill and I do think that unfashionable fighters don't get a fare shake of the stick, but there just aren't any BIG wins on his CV, except for Maske, but Maske is not a hall of famer.

Well it depends on where you read it.

I read in one mag that it was his 'lower floating rib' (whatever that is) and I read in BM & and also an american mag that he cracked his lower vertebrae.

The things that pissed me off about Hamed was how he promised so much then hooked his brothers up with him and they all acted like a bunch of nobs. I remember them all laughing as if they were at a party at his last fight.
Then to top it off he never officialy retired and just would string everyone on.
He failed his acid test how can he be in the HOF the only Hof he deserves to be in is David!

The names for induction into the "class" of 2012 are out and include Tommy Hearns, Prince Nassem, Donald Curry, Dariusz Michealchewski and Sven Ottke!!!! amongst others. Obviously there's no discussion required for the Hitman, but what about Naz?

He beat some very good fighters in Robinson, Medina, Johnson, Kelley, McCulloch, Ingle, Soto, Bungu and Sanchez. Politics aside would have held IBF, WBO and WBC belts at the same time. He had incredible power, speed and reflexes and was almost untouchable in his prime.

But - in the biggest fight of his life he was beaten relatively easily by MAB, had one more fight that stunk the place out and disappeared.

On other American based websites, they are in almost univeral agreement. Naz is no HOF'er - he was good not great.Sven Ottke Come On. If He Gets In.I Wil Be Asking To Be Put In. For Me Stallone Should Be In. The Rocky Films Generated So Much Interest. Young Fighters Chasing The Dream. And Remember Stallone Has Always Stated He Aint No Fighter And Has So Much Praise For Every Fighter Out There. As For Prince Naseem Hamed He Should Be In Hall Of Fame. If He Had Stayed Level Headed And Stayed With Brendan Ingle I Honestly Believe He Would Have Been Legend. In The Same Bracket Of Mayweather And Manny Pacman.ADIOS
