Would be interesting to see him call froch's bluff but I doubt he fancies it so I am going with Mr Pasty T cann

Sounds like it will be Pemberton, I would like it to be Tsypko a rising name who doesn't look all that.

On a serious note though why not fight either Sanavia or Siaca, both are former world champions, i cannot comment on their abilities as i never seen them in the ring but i'd say both would be a decent opponent for Joe.

Sanavia lost on the Eastman vs Abraham bill to Haussler, bit of a shocker to me. I don't know if it was a robbery but I think he is out of the picture for now.

Haussler is in the picture, but I hope it is not him as the result is a forgone conclusion.

Lots of decent "names" who are looking for fights.

Is Lucas vs Beyer II set, because Lucas would be a decent opponent.

Otis Grant.

But I think the best option would be Carl Froch, both are fighting on the ITV network.. Why not.

Heres the top 15 by the WBO,

1. Librado Andrade - A mexican, unbeaten in 22, but pretty untested, biggest name on his record is Tito Mendoza, hasn't fought since Feb.

2. Rudy Markussen - best challenge in this top 15, IMO, has only lost to Ottke.

3. Anthony Mundine - Lost in a challenge for a title recently, looking for a aussie superfight against Danny Green

4. Vitali Tsypko - Just won Euro title, can't see him wanting joe so soon

5. Mger Mkrtchyan - Already beaten by Joe

6. Otis Grant - Nice boxer , probaly had his best days a few years ago, has been here before beating Ryan Rhodes.

7. Cristian Sanavia - Just lost in a title fight against Danilo Häussler, wouldn't want to get in with Joe so soon after.

8. Scott Pemberton - signed to fight Danny Green recently

9. Mario Veit - A 1 round loss to joe , then beaten in 6 by him in a rematch, enough said

10. Robin Reid - lined up to challenge Lacey

11. Brian Magee - Just lost in a Euro fight, looking for a rematch with Tsypko

12. Lolenga Mock - Not good enough, a good journyman at best.

13. Manny Siacca - Former champ, not been to active recently, could see this one happening.

14. Robert Stieglitz - not known and untested, Joe would get far to much critisism if this match was made.

15. Peter Mitrevski - same as above.

So out of that lot i'd want to see him fight Rudy Markussen , this would probaly be his biggest challenge.

Who will be going to this show?

My wife wants to go but I`m waiting to see who`s fighting first.
I have a suspicion it will be a crap card with the Amir Khan hype selling it..so the tickets will propbably cost 50%more.

Calzaghe's popularity has nosedived, he has now been reduced to seeing a boxer having only his second pro fight selling tickets for the show he is headlining - or is he joint headlining with a boxer having only his second pro fight? Either way it is indicative of how his popularity has fallen and even casual observers are now fed up with the constant hype.

Tickets are priced at £35, £50, £75 and £125.

Rudy Markussen would be a good fight and a step up from many of his previous opponents but i doubt he will take the chance of fighting a big puncher before his socalled carrier defining fight against Lacy (if he wins).
If he wants a good name on his record he could perhaps try to call Mads Larsen allthough i'm not sure he will ever fight again. And it could also be a chance to make Froch shut up.
But i doubt either one will get the fight and Calzaghe will fight a softer opponent claiming the rest is running scared of him.

I think Froch would be ideal, he is open and has questions about his stamina, Joe's workrate is suited for that kind of opponent. I think that for all Froch's calls he is onto a good thing with De La Hoya and wouldn't want the fight if he was offered it.

I think Reid is going to beat LAcy as well, so there probably wont be a career defining fight at super middle.

Although he's a tough guy , i don't think Mock is good enough to give Joe a challenge, and maybe a bit hard to sell this one to the public.

One guy i've thought of , and i remember him in the Boxing News talking about wanting to face Joe is Eric Teymour, don't know that much about him, any news what he's up to

Here's the bit about Mock:

Mock has also won the vacant WBO Intercontinental super middleweight and the vacant WBA International light heavyweight titles against respectable foes. Judging by his Box Rec record, it would be a safe bet Mock would be competitive against any opponent in the world.

However, according to http://www.FightFax.com, boxing's only official record keeper, Mock's verifiable record is really a dismal 4-12, with get this, just 1 KO! A difference of 17 fights with all of the questionable results being reported out of Africa by his former manager, Henrik Risum, who is a Box Rec editor (although he is not listed as one on the home page, Risum has posted over 1100 results to the site).

Makes for interesting reading.
