I've only just read this thread so my apologies for this late message. It's terrible news Buzz but you are being very positive and brave about it and that is great for both you and your wife. Good news on winning "round 1" and being the old school top bloke that you are i'm sure you will both be slugging away the whole 15 round distance. There's always hope Buzz so all the best to both of you, my thoughts are with you and the missus mate.

Just an FYI update from an honestly humble man, one who is grateful for every day of his life, and prays every day for the miracle of another day with his beloved family that includes my now 11 year old daughter, and my beautiful and loving "cancer surviving" wife. Please know I also pray for the good health of every person who participates in this bit of fantasy here on the forum and I honestly send you each my very best.

Our series of 15 round battles continues,

The Doctors originally told Sandy that she had from 2 weeks to five months to live, (this on Feb 3rd of this year).
We ironically celebrated both our 28th anniversary (from the day we met) AND our 18th anniversary (from the day we married) on the 4th of July. This is precisely ONE DAY BEYOND the five months that they said was her maximum time left. Go figure.

So Don't any of you EVER give up when Dr's give YOU or ANYONE YOU LOVE such timelines......YOU make the difference, never forget this!

She had major brain surgery to extract a Lemon size cancerous lesion, and suffered NO neuro deficits.
She went through 9 highly complex sessions of brutal chemotherapy designed to kill the cancer, that imoblilzied her and ultimately killed her kidneys
We now jokingly refer to her three time weekly dialysis, in terms of her having "bionic kidneys". (She has a such a great sense of humor, and optimism).
She had to interrupt her fight with cancer to stabilize her blood chemistry and acclimate to dialysis, which has returned her to pretty good health and vigor. However they tell us that the nasty beast is likely not sleeping.

September was a great month, and October is likely to be the same, and then in November she/we must turn once again to face this despicable multi-headed hydra known as lung cancer.

If you are happy and alive today....revel in it, watch the sun come up (either by yourself or with the one you love), thank the universe for giving you all that you see. SQUEEZE EVERY MOMENT of happiness out of each day, and live each day as if it could be your last. I promise you from intense personal experience, that you WILL NOT regret having done so.

Sincerely I say to each of you.....Have a very good day!

AND please accept my sincere heartfelt thank you for any good thoughts, prayers, wishes you may happen to have sent/are sending our way. I'm quite certain they have made/are making a profound difference.

Fantastic news, mate !!!!

That's one tough lady, you have. It takes a special person to battle through, fighting, as she has. A very special person.

Best wishes and thoughts, as always are with you and your family.

That really is inspiring, mate. I hope you and your wife continue to be as strong as you are at the moment and the cancer will have nothing on her. Thoughts are with your family.

Amen.

Doctors tend to put "ceilings" on things. My girlfriend's grandmother was told she would never walk again (after he second stroke) and she does, and you can barely notice her limp.

My own grandmother was told that she would have 12 months to live (after being diagnosed in the critical stages of bowel cancer), and she went on to live for another 6 years, so IT CAN BE DONE & IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE.

Honestly the very best of luck to yourself and Mrs. Buzz... Life is short and precious, but it is good.

(I still think you are a crook though)
