I see Brad Pitt beat a 46 year old former Argentinian light middleweight champion, lovely bit of matchmaking.

Just come back from the fights, Yid, we had dinner with Danny (Hugo the Argentinian) last night and took him out for breaky this morning, my trainer, Steve, cornered him. He put up a game effort and wasn't going to lie down, but the towel was thrown in in the fourth as we wanted him to get home to his kids and grand kids safely. Age and weight was the big factor here, he said he wished he had of fought Brad fifteen years ago. There was a realistic 15 kg difference in weight.

They were saying on Friday night fights, Pitt might be facing Oganov. Good test for Pitt at this stage of his career.

I think any one shorter than Pitt is a bad match, his footwork is too good for his height, making it hard for a shorter opponent to keep on him, I don't think Oganov would fair much better than the man today.

Because Brad won the Vacant Victorian Heavyweight title does that mean that the Australian Cruiser title becomes vacant?

fornicate, that's a good question Franko, and why would you relinquish the Aussie cruiser weight title for the Victorian heavy weight title (when you live in, train and fight out of NSW)?

Yeah i agree, Oganov would be a punching bag for 3 rounds before the corner or Ref stopped it, I'd like to see Pitt realy get the fights he needs and i hope trainers/Fighters allow this happen. I understand some want there fighter's to get more expierence and use Pitts amatuer background as an excuse, but at the end of the day, everyone here should be fighting everyone here, if a loss occurs against Pitt along the way it's no big deal, but not giving the bloke a fight is doing no one any good.

McCracken,Cronje, Vea,Forsyth,Azzouri,Soi are all good fights for Pitt.

I think if a shorter true cruiser like Mostyn Niemann was supremely fit so he could keep on Brad then Brad would be in trouble, he would certainly have his work cut out for him, but some one like Niemann would have to be fit enough to keep inside Pitt for most of the fight, with Pitt's footwork that's a big ask.

Pitt/Niemann would be a goodie :P IMO, sort of a fight that might put Adelaide's boxing back on track

Niemann must be fit to walk forward and punch almost non stop for ten or twelve, but if that's the case, he stops Pitt in the later rounds.

Pitt has 2 or 3 solid wins against Ammann, Harris and Siale, Nieman needs a couple of solid wins, Watts would be a good start and then maybe a fight with McCracken, Forsyth ect.

For me if Pitt and Nieman jumped in the ring today, i could see Nieman getting demolished. His trainer is right, he's not ready for Pitt, but in all likelyhood he'll probably never will be imo, but it still doesn't mean that he shouldn't fight him, because sometimes losing can be a better expierence than a 1st round KO win.

There was a thread here a while back mate, where someone was saying that Nieman doesn't have the expierence as yet and was pretty upfront with Nieman will not be fighting Pitt anytime soon.

I'm sure you remember ;;-)

Hope it happens the fight, just don't think it will for some time.

What!? You can't see how the Aussie cruiser weight champ, living and fighting out of NSW can fight an Argentinian middle weight for the Victorian heavy weight title, Yid? You seriously have no imagination.

The only people to blame for who Pitt is fighting are, the current cruiserweights and there trainers and management. He has offered to fight all of the top 10.

The reason this fight was approved for the Victorian Heavyweight title are Brad is a registered Victorian boxer and has lived in Victoria nearly all his life he may train in Sydney but his home is Rosebud.
Previous to this fight Brad was the holder of the Victorian Super Cruiser weight title and when this title was deemed defunct Brad then was moved to the only rated Heavyweight in Victoria, so he was eligible to choose a approved Heavyweight opponent and fight for the vacant Victorian title.
The original approved opponent fell through and this this opponent was approved because the posters were already printed stating it was for the Victorian Heavyweight title and also to compensate Brad for the abolition of the Super cruiser weight division.

  So that's the credentials to for fight for a state title in Aussie. It has to say it on a poster.  This may be a silly question but would it not be possible to make new posters instead of having an Argentinian middleweight fight for the Victorian Heavyweight title? Just an Idea.
