What is nice to see with the Ingle gym is the continuity of promising fighters coming form that stable.

In earlier times you had Herol Graham and Brian Anderson, then it moved onto Johnny Nelson, Naz and Ryan Rhodes and now it is producing your Kell Brooks and a promising Kid Ghalahad. Dominic and John have effectively taken over from Brendan and the road show continues. It is one establishment that Sheffield can truely be proud of and deserves to be applauded :TU:

Good post. Brendan is still in the gym all hours, motivating and talking ten to the dozen!

kid ghalahad looked very good last night, his shot selection and his timing looked very impressive defo one to watch, living in sheffield i get to hear alot of things about the ingles good and bad but you just cant argue with the results they keep getting, they produce champion after champion ive got no affiliation either way im just calling it as i see it, fair play to all involved it cant be luck year after year fighter after fighter :TU:

Kell is good and is still learning, but he hasn't had the same exposure or experience that Khan has to date. Don't forget that Khan is a world champion and has been for some time, he has fought in America and has beaten the likes of Malignaggi, Judah and Maidana. Fair enough, both Malignaggi and Judah saw their best days seven or eight years ago, but along with Maidana they represent stronger opposition than Kell has faced. I personally think that Khan would be too fast for Kell, but i believe that we have to see Kell up against real quality top ten opposition before we can fully determine how well he would do against Khan.

Kells as fast if not faster than khan with a lot more power and his awquardness would mean it would be easy to shatter khans skeptical chin.

From what i have seen in fights, i would say that Khan is the faster puncher of the two. I think Kell can punch, but not in the same way that a Naseem Hamed could, his power looks decent but nothing special. Kell looks the type of boxer who will grind down his opponents with good shot selection, accuracy and timing. He was putting some good punches together at the end of last nights fight. Khan's one weak point is the chin and i think it always will be, but after spending a lot of time with Roach, he has developed a style to protect his chin. Khan's movement is very good, his punch repatoire is excellent, his speed is lethal and he is very accurate too. Khan isn't at that Mayweather / Pacquaio level for the minute, but he is an excellent fighter and is right up there with the best, there is no question about that and to fight Khan right now would be a mistake for Kell and one he doesn't need to make. As i said, we will need to see Kell fight people in and oround the top ten, go to America, fight some "names" of the past, ie, Judah, Malignaggi, Clottey even, then he can start to look at Ortiz or Berto and Khan.

Khan wouldnt be able to protect his chin the same as he has done against kell because like nas he hits from everywhere, and kells just cruised through his current opponents with no trouble even in khans recent fights hes been hit a lot more than what kell does and how would khan be able to cope with kells style and switch-hitting?

I think that Khan seems to go in and out with his opponents, his movement is good and he doesn't get mixed up in brawls too often. I think the Maidana fight was the only one where he actively seemed to trade with his opponent. Normally he stays on the outside, comes in, produces very fast head to body combination punches and then moves back out again. This is the style that he has produced to protect his chin and in the main it is working well. I think that Khan will always be suspect where hsi chin is concerned, but i think he is more likely to get in trouble with bigger punches like Maidana, Berto or Ortiz. I think we will know a lot more about Kell in say 18 months time with respect to how he will operate at the higher levels of the division.

Yeah, i definately agree with you on that..........

Khan has had the right backing from the start, his name, all the PR, media attention, but it looks as if Kell will now hopefully get more attention and be in the spotlight with the Hearns. The next 18 months will be an exciting time for Kell.

Definitely I think he'll probably be able to beat zaveck which will be an important chance for him to get his name mentioned to the big fighters.
