Sammy Farber, one of the last, if not THE last, of the old-time Golden Bantams of the Golden Age of Bantamweight Boxing (THE RING Dec. 1953) of the 1920s died July 20 at age 95:

Barry, how could I forget!! About three years ago, his grandson was having a birthday party for him at their home in NYC, and the family was gathered together. And I got to speak with Sammy on the phone for a few minutes. I was told he indeed was happy to know he still had fans all these years later.barry wrote:Hate to hear that...I remember when you first got in contact with him...which must have gave him some pleasure knowing that people today remember him and his boxing career...RIP!
