You're quite right. Now, don't you think Brook had a little to do with that?

Come on Jon :yay:
You know what I mean, he had the mexican roadsweeper or the Latvian Lemming?? look about him.

Bailey or Collazo would tell you everything you need to know about Brook.

Ha'way, give Brook some credit man Jon. It was like Spurs beating Sunderland 5-0 - they are still in the same league.

And why was Naz-Belcastro so one sided? Let me answer that one for you.... because Naz was an amazingly talented fighter.

His next fight is in the states.

Yeah, against some knockover job according to the piece on here - then Malignaggi, Jones or Alexander in Sheffield according to the claims of Hearn. Read the article.

Also, it clearly won't be on US TV, so how is some world ranked opponent going to happen?

Question for Jon Saxon.

I have ready quite a few posts now where you seem to dislike Kell Brook and the only thing you are saying is he is nothing like Naz. What the hell difference does that make, Naz was a much lighter and faster fighter and a special talent. Kell is still improving and yet to prove himself.

What the hell have you got against him, has he given you girlfriend or boyfriend a good seeing to for once? cos that would make more sense of why you are so bitter.

Get over it and support the lad. He might never become a boxing legend, but it is way too early to say.

Nothing against him I dont know him but I'm not sold on him and no amount of hype on here will tell me otherwise.

IF he wins a fight against a Mike Jones or Louis Collazo or Ortiz etc etc then I will be a fan untill then I will stick with my eyes and my gut.

December the 17th has Alphonso Gomez written all over it. He obviously has no chance of making a career at light middle (he looked 2/3 weight divisions smaller to Alvarez) and had strung together a nice little run of form prior to jumping up to 154 for that chance. He really has no where else to go other than taking a punt against a 147 up and comer (Brook, Alexander, Jones, Soloman, etc) as neither Pacman or Money will look at him and Berto has business almost set up with Bailey. He is an ideal Senchenko foe though, given his turgid level of opposition.

If not Gomez then Malignaggi would be perfect, though I can't see Golden Boy letting him fight on a rival card (don't be surprised to see Malignaggi lined up for Alexander, perfect fight for DA and Golden Boy and I think they will handle him with kid gloves after his last two performances, especially as his chin looks a little questionable). Delvin Rodriguez would have been perfect, but has business with Wolak. :bag:

However I reckon it will probably end up being one of Jesus Soto Karass (name, no big promoter to get in the way, good yard stick vs Jones, easier to hit than a barn door with a banjo), Julio Diaz (same first two as above, no threat at 147, well past it, will probably take peanuts), Demitrus Hopkins (again same first two as above, not a puncher, good yardstick vs Soloman, won't command much cash) or maybe Antwone Smith (low cash, little threat).

I'd be more than happy with all these guys. We can't expect a major threat when Brook has a) just had the biggest two fights of his career in the last four months, b) only has 7/8 weeks preperation, c) Hearn is obviously planning on investing big style in him and d) they will want to make a big coming out statement :shame: in the US on a high profile undercard. It'll be a ten rounder and has to be against a (TV wise) creditable Yank, who will not beat him yet will go a few rounds.

this is all about building towards Berto. Senchenko will dodge Brook as long as he can, look at the trash he has faced and the WBA has been happy to go along with it. He'll see what happened to Zavek (who credit to him got brave, rolled the dice and gave it a good go) and stay at home in Ukraine raking in the cash for bollocks defences. :shame:

ignoring the fact Matchroom are using him on the Froch undercard this is the route i would have planned....

Matthew Hatton - Fight should really have already happened, when Hatton held the euro belt. Hattons stock has rised significantly after his bout against Alvarez and would now be a good win on both sides of the pond.

Carson Jones - not neccessarily a massive name, but has been on a very good run of late and holds a high ranking with the IBF (better route to Berto) and this would be an easy tester fight in America (think it will be him on the Froch undercard)

Moseley / Berto / Mike Jones - A big step up but all 3 winnable fights.

Gotta be Hatton for me, Very tough and industrious, also mixed with peripheral world class 'gatekeepers'. Showed his character despite losing to SA.I Like Kel and have watched him since a baby but he does at times seem a little rigid and although punches hard i wonder if he can turn on the power at true world class, if he cant i think he'll be in trouble with his style. Its a shame Kotelnik is not a fully fledged 147 and a couple of years younger as i feel Kell would benefit greatly from that sort of experience.

Exactly. No one worth his salt is gonna come to shitty f**king Sheffield. Typical British promotional talk. All the big names get mentioned and then Norman no name steps through the ropes. Wake me up when one of these fights actually get's made, because I don't see him doing anything without a mandatory position with one of the sanctionaing bodies. That's gonna be Brook's only route to the top. He doesn't have the drawing power to do it any other way.

Kell needs to stop moaning about fighting Khan every 5 minutes and make his own name first by becoming a World Champion else he'll start sounding like a certain other Ingle fighter did about Hatton.

So just for that how about:

You might normally have a point re. big fights being talked up over here only to get someone substandard instead but I have a hunch this won't happen with Brook. For one Sky have just lost a fair portion of their world class and 'name' fighters to allegedly with Mitchell, Burns, Chisora, DeGale, Groves, Saunders, Gavin, Bellew, Cleverly, etc plus Fury is tied up with 5, Khan with Primetime (and not on great terms with Sky ATM), Haye's stock having fallen and retirement seemingly on the horizon and who knows where Matt Macklin will find him self TV wise now he is with Di Bella. Between Matchroom, Hatton and Maloney they have plenty of solid guys who are unlikely to become marquee names (Arron, Rees, Vassell, Crolla, Buckland, Sykes, Munro, Booth, Jeffries, Hall, McDonnell, Rhodes, Murray, Hatton jnr, Purdy, Theophane, Foster, Haskins, etc would all fall into this category IMO). Froch is obviously a huge name for them now (ironic given how long they ingnored him!) but barring him they really have no other 'big' names after Barker's brave defeat (although Quigg, Framton and Price all may make big moves next year). Therefor Brook is probably Sky's biggest star behind Froch right now and I can see them investing heavily in him, no matter how many fans he draws in Sheffield, they will look to build him into a TV star (Adam Smith's bwas doing his best to start this Sat night!).

Along with Sky's desire to re-build will be the huge opportunity Hearn now has to grab the Sky attention space left by Warren's move and look to establish himself big style. Both he and Sky will pump money into Brook and I'll bet you £20 that you'll see plenty of Brook trailed on Sky Sports in the next few months. I'd be unsurprised to see a significant wad of cash put aside for Warren's Sky dates to getting Brook a marquee name in his first fight in 2012, either to tempt Senchenko over, or more likely to see a Malignaggi type opponent lured to a big UK venue. Money talks, and their will be serious cash available from Matchroom and Sky to push Brook along.

I think your missing the point with Sky. They've made the moves they have, because they don't give a s**t about boxing and are spenDing less and less on it. There is absolutely no way they are gonna stump up the cash needed to subsidize a fight between Kell Brook and any big name opponant for a fight in the UK. Senchenko isn't a big name either. He's only being brought up because he holds a title.
