You know what Spoon? I didn't even think about that. I really should have just listed vs instead of the results.

The rest will be up this week, 3 today and 3 on Thursday.

Thanks man, I may as well be flipping a coin for the order at this point.

The last three, thanks to everyone who followed along and commented. Now i have to compile a top 20 all time Straw list, that's going to be tough.

Great final three. I remember watching Chacon-Limon 4 and thinking, after the totally amazing 2nd round, that there was no way it would go the distance.

Don't know how I missed this. I saw your first few posts, but didn't keep up with the rest. Just went over the whole thing. Good stuff, although I had a pretty good idea of what your #1 choice was going to be. Doesn't make it any less of a pick, though. Saad was a legend. Interestingly enough, I thought the first fight with Lopez was Saad's best performance all around (didn't think it was particularly close, either), whereas the rematch was his most epic battle (which is saying a lot).

The Richie Kates fight is one that goes under the radar among Saad's wars, but it was a great one, too.

Thanks, the face plant knockdowns that Saad and Kates got up from were out of a Rocky movie. But I didn't see that one live so it was excluded.

jrc26 wrote:Out of curiosity how did you do this? Did you start with a much bigger list and then cut it to 100 and then put them in order? Any kind of scoring or specific qualities you looked for, or was it pure entertainment value?
A buddy of mine asked me to send him my list so I just got it from here. As I was going through I noticed I never answered this. My bad, I had a bigger list and cut it into tiers. My memory when it comes to Boxing is pretty crazy, so I went into the TB game and went through the divisions and wrote down the fights as I saw the names. That way I didn't miss any.

The criteria is tougher, it was mainly pure entertainment value though that is often enhanced by emotional investment. It wasn't a big time research project and I didn't re-watch all of them. Just kind of did it on a whim. Unlike these top 25 in every division that I'm still languishing over film.
