Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
I was comparing my fighters records and noticed Sam McVey has fought some very tough opposition
Win, Lose or Draw, fighters Mcvey has fought that deserve mention:
Joe Louis
Tyson
Ali
Dempsey
Foreman
James Jeffries
Vitali Klitschko
also going 2-0-1 in a 3 fight series with Jimmy Ellis and an upcoming bout with Gene Tunney
Tunney has fought Dempsey, Johnson x2, Stribling x2, Jackson x2
even though Tunney has the better record and a title, I think McVey edges out Tunney for toughest competition.

Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
Dempsey's record is impressive and definitely looks the toughest so far.
how about this question?, Who has fought the best cpu's?
also, McVey signs the contract to fight Lennox Lewis on week 24, Lewis just has to put the pen to the paper and it's on.

Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
Dempsey would fight Lewis any week you wish. I don't bother chasing the fight because there's certain managers who simply haven't got the cajones.Owl wrote:Well you did. Never did you even address us. You fear the boxer puncher that is Lennox.jBacca wrote:Dempsey ducked Lewis. Tee hee hee.

Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
Went 11-4 against:
Sonny Liston x2 (1-1)
Jim Jeffries x2 (2-0)
Young Stribling
Peter Jackson x2 (1-1)
Joe Louis
Sam McVey
Rididick Bowe
Max Schmelling (fighting again in the MDT Final)
Jack Dempsey
Evander Holyfield
Jersey Joe Walcott
George Foreman
Not the strongest, but still a pretty solid list. Couple of big names missing from that list, but this will be put right after Ali has finished in the MDT.

One name could add lustre to your resume. Being KO'd by THE ROCK is a resume enhancer that will guarantee future multiple championships!
Just ask Peter Jackson, Jack Dempsy, Or Vitali K.

Kevo, Please direct your fighter that WIG MUSSING will not be tolerated in any manner during any future encounters. This must be a pre nup to any discussion of a ROCK vs GOAT event.

Is FACE PUNCHING still allowed?BoxBuzz wrote:Kevo, Please direct your fighter that WIG MUSSING will not be tolerated in any manner during any future encounters. This must be a pre nup to any discussion of a ROCK vs GOAT event.
Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
Juergun Blin, Kevin McBride and Don Cockell are sleeping monsters in the Sim, Jeannette was the only man to step up and face them. So there!!kevo wrote:You were serious? How adorable.Deno1986 wrote:Bitch.kevo wrote:

Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
I still foresee Ali going sick like SRL and dominating the last third of the sim.kevo wrote:Went 11-4 against:

Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
Joe Louis deserves a mention here, (but I wouldn't go so far as to say he's had THE TOUGHEST time)
Louis has fought:
Muhammad Ali
Jack Dempsey (x2)
Jack Johnson
Mike Tyson
George Foreman
Sonny Liston
Peter Jackson
Vitali Klitchsko
James Jeffries (X2)
John L. Sullivan (x2)
Joe Jeanette
And that's pretty impressive considering we are just over 20 weeks in.
(And he's been refused a mandatory title shot twice).

Well, Ali's good looks could go on a steep decline if such brutal tactics are allowed. So if Ali il allowed to muss the 'do, then THE ROCK will have to grind the grill.
Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
Who has fought toughest competition? Upon looking at the records I would have to say that it is Jack Dempsey
Dempsey has fought ALL over the other historical top fighters:
Muhammad Ali (Week 13)
George Foreman (Week 3)
Joe Frazier (Week 2)
Jack Johnson (Week 12)
Joe Louis (Weeks 16 & 19)
Rocky Marciano (Week 14)
Mike Tyson (Week 21)
Combined record against the hisotrical greats: 5 wins, 3 losses
But more than that, Jack Dempsey's Manager, Mr. Jbacca has matched his fighter against the other greats and has done so in the true spirit of the Sim.
The spirit of courage, conviction & eagerness to see the best fight each other.
I can only commend Mr. Jbacca & assure him that he gets my vote in the Hall Of Fame, no doubt.
And a lot more Managers (BoxBuzz & Ben K) could use Mr. Jbacca as an example ofhow things are done right, and maybe... just maybe grow a pair of balls & man up.

I thought you're naivety was endearing for a while there... But you must come to realise (thought you would've you there by now) that Lennox Lewis is a small fish in this pond.Owl wrote:Who ever has fought lennox. Since dempsey has not he cannot be.
Accept it, learn to deal with it, embrace it & move on with your life...

Point of order to be considered: I believe that Mr Lewis has had more victories in defense of an ABC belt than Mr Louis.
Re: Which simboxer has fought the toughest competition?
Point oof order to be finalised: I believe that Mr. Louis is a 3 Time World Champion, having held the WBA Title, WBO Title & the IBF Title in that order.BoxBuzz wrote:Point of order to be considered: I believe that Mr Lewis has had more victories in defense of an ABC belt than Mr Louis.
Mr. Lewis has a lonely WBC truimph to his name...
