Number of amatuer boxing participants in top countries

I was wondering if anybody could help me find out the participation levels in some of the top boxing countries right now, ie Cuba, Russia, Ukraine, GB, Ireland, Khazakstan, India, etc... Im writing a paper on the fall of USA Boxing for a sports marketing class.

If somebody knows the exact number of participants for USAB that would be helpful as well. It used to be up on the website but i cant find it anymore, think it was something like 32,000.

Dont know the official figure but about 400 clubs and at a average of 30'ish active comprtitors in a club, say 10,000 in Ireland.

I heard Ireland only has 3,000 boxers registered of all ages .

And only 200 clubs .

Counted the Irish clubs, over 100 in both Lenister and Ulster and about another 100 in Connaught and Munster combined. There is a lot more than 10 registered boxers per club, if you take 20 as a conservative average(surely more if you include girls) then the number is well over 6,000.

The UK has around 900 clubs and 10,000 boxers.

You'll hear claims of more as the figures used by government include Boxaerobics and non contact keep fit stuff......
