Thank you Detroit, both for the excellent write up, and for once again running the Million Dollar Tournament.

It is a great honour to once again be crowned The MDT Champ, even moreso when this years lineup was undoubtedly the strongest so far.

Ali had a mediocre start to the season, winning a title but suffering a couple of damaging defeats, he feared he was to be remembered alongside Crease's Duran as a fighter falling well short of his potential. "I gotta get back to the top, Kev" he told me one nightin The Black Horse, "and the only way to do that is to go on a violent spree of punching in some sort of highly organised and controlled sporting tournament!". "Shut up," I replied "and get the f*cking round in!"

He saw The MDT as his last shot at redemption, a way to claw himself back into contention and place himself back amongst this season's HW elite.

After his amazing run in The MDT against some very tough opposition, Ali's confidence is fully restored and he hopes to emulate his GOAT promotions brethren and former MDT Champion Sugar 'AIDS' Leonard by going on to unify the titles and generally kick some ass.

Thank you to all who participated in this years tournament.

Thank you again to Detroit for the opportunity to make history in The MDT.

Sorry to everyone who runs into Ali from this point onward. He's back, he's drunk, he's belligerent, and he's ready to punch a bloody f*cking hole in anyone's face, bitches.

Don't put it on the line! It takes a tournament to win it. Be shit if someone else could win it off you from a single DQ or something.

Ali won't be defending The MDT Title against anyone. The winning of this title is the culmination of weeks of fights, and the winner deserves to go through the rest of the season as the only MDT Champ.

What makes this title so prestigious is the fact that there is only one winner per season, and nobody can deny that the winner deserves the accolade. Only the best have won this title (Pep, Leonard and now Ali), so to put it on the line Vs underserving challengers does the title a disservice. You won't find Ali milking his title with weak defence after weak defence (take note, Lonsdale Champs).

It will be on display in the GOAT Promotions Trophy room, alongside the multitude of other titles our stable has won through the years, including last years MDT Trophy, Mrs Krasniqi's panties (from the night Oleg Maskaev took her virginity) and Marciano's wig.

Not that it matters (as the title isn't going to be defended), but yes i'd count Lyle as underserving for a title shot.

Is that an unorthodox tennis shot? I would agree on both counts, just checking. I was banking on you being pissed up already.

Oh, sorry. Either GOAT HQ (The Black Horse) or with Detroit's Mum.
