Prizefighter - Super Flyweights

Post by bigB »

Got to say last nights show was great from start to finish, well done Eddie.

Great fight before the main show and the highlight been the Craig Lyon vs Ryan Farrag that was an all out war/brawl.

Haskins deserved to win it but could see he was very awkward for other fighters.

Was also great to see so many current and ex-boxers, Jamie Moore, Derry Matthews, Ricky Hatton, Rocky Fielding etc

I liked how they also let Uzzy do his ringwalk was a great atmosphere.

Definately up for going to another Prizefighter show.

What your guys thoughts that watched it on the TV?

I watched it on Sky. Didn't think it was a good as I'd hoped, it's possible I built it up excessively in advance of it. Lyon vs Farrag was class though, enjoyed that one.

Problem with Uzzy is that it's all about the circus act, when he didn't actually do too badly in the ring. I think they should be wary of gimmicks in future selections, it's hard enough persuading some of the hardcore fans to take PF seriously.

I think it was too easy for Haskins and his style made it abit of a stinker. Not one of the better prizefighters. Maybe there staging them too often now. The venue did look alive though it would be interesting to hear from anyone who was there last night and has been to one at York Hall, was the atmosphere as good?
