What week shall we end this season?

Post by allworld80 »

I think it's been pretty competitive thus far. A lot of the same names hanging around the top of the rankings and getting lots of title fights, but also some new ones sneak in from time to time (Holmes and Foreman most recently).

Your call.

Marciano is too lopsidely qualified, so much so that no one can escape being KO'd by the man. As such it's time to stop the proceedings before some vital TBII software is profoundly and permanentl damaged, or worse yet, erased with no record of it's existence.

Imagine if Ali. Louis or Holmes simply vanished from the data base after a single encounter. In the case of Ali, it would mean from GOAT to GONE in nanoseconds. We don't want to be saddled with the P.R. nightmare that would bring. We feel these other competitors have the right to exist. It's one thing to playfully knock someone's toupee off Marciano's head while simulating a reality like boxing event, it's quite another to allow THE ROCK to flash fry a digital entity straight into the vacuum of nothingness. With the risk of erasing even the memory of a former boxers career in TOTALITY from both the database of the game, AND the gestalt memory of humanity.

It appears to us that this is just the sort of thing that could take place if we continue on with this season. And who can say that such a risk is acceptable? IF we should continue, we pledge to do our best to find a way to dilute Marciano's Magnficence into some sort of manageble energy form that allows for at least a hint of authentic competition to take place. If all else fails, perhaps we can convince him to take a dive (again), in order to bring some sort of sense of hope to others who have the right to at least DREAM of having some degree of success when facing THE ROCK.

As we have in the past, I'm sure we'll figure some way to muddle along for a longer season if others insist on absorbing these sorts of one sided defeats over and over and over again.

Young's current rankings:

IBF 25th
WBA 24th
WBC 28th
WBO 29th

Better start chopping some tall trees down if you want a title shot. Or maybe we'll do a couple of weeks where the champs can fight anyone and can snag a title shot that way.

Jaime Rabaca likes this.

Certain managers may not have the stable to challenge but definitely deserve a shot through the way they've conducted themselves.

I'm going with 40 weeks as well.
We have waited a long time for the Heavyweights to come around, and there's still loads of great fights that hevnt' happened yet:
Ali vs Marciano (could end up being a trilogy)
Louis vs Marciano (If Buzz stopped cowering away)

Truthfully Marciano is prettymuch untested as of yet because he has not consistently fought top fighters.

And Ali will definitely make an impact post MDT.

Stop lying about the GBP record of excellence. Just because you say something over and over and over and over and over and over again...DOES NOT MAKE IT SO.....unless it is so. And in this case the fact do not support your verbose episodic fictionalizations. YOU SHOULD SHUT UP....... A LOT. But you don't.

*Marciano was beaten on only one occasion this season by the current #3 fighter and 5 time champion Peter Jackson, He then comes back to win the sequel and the rubber match in twin tsunami KO's.
(Though the record shows THE ROCK WAS KO'd in the first fight, it was a matter of mistaken state of mind on behalf of the ref. THE ROCK was so bored, he simply took a short nap, and was counted out mistakenly. He now takes NO DOZ before each match....)
*He then beat #4 Rated Jack Dempsey multiple ABC belt holder by brutal KO
*He beat the man who had the longest ABC title run this entire year by one sided KO....Lennox Lewis
*He beat former ABC belt holder Mike Tyson by rapid primal beatdown.
*He beat former ABC belt holder Ezzard Charles TWICE both by merciless KO's
*He beat former multiple ABC belt holder Vitali K by tipping him completely over onto the horizontal position on TWO occasions.
*He beat former XYZ belt Holder Riddick Bowe by vicious KO

NO ONE HAS A BETTER RECORD OF OPPONENTS....NO ONE........Yes he has had a tune up or two......which you seem to be fascinated with....but that is because it is required, in order to properly keep a fighter rested and tested. You can't go 'round beating the bejabbers out of folks like Peter Jackson and Jack Dempsey and Mike Tyson every week.

Now admit that you are a gaseous bag of endocrinological drippings and bits, and nothing more.
