Re: Tonight's RBR.
This guy is quality, best fighter DeGale has met so far surely ? HARD AS NAILS.
DG showing guts and a great chin, a sitting duck for some of those rights though, needs to be careful

Re: Tonight's RBR.
A brit is fighting for the euro title and some people on here don't want him to win. Give your head a shake.
Re: Tonight's RBR.
Not every person is as nationalistic as the next. It's entirely one's own perogative who they want to win. DeGale has shown a great lack of class, and has not earned this title shot.keithmoonhangover wrote:A brit is fighting for the euro title and some people on here don't want him to win. He is winning though and the champ needs a KO.
Re: Tonight's RBR.
But he is showing grit tonight and for me is 2 rounds up.Herol wrote:Not every person is as nationalistic as the next. It's entirely one's own perogative who they want to win. Re: Tonight's RBR.
DeGale has been dreadful. Has this come too soon, or is he just rusty, or simply just not as good as some of us thought? On this performance he has simply no chance at the highest level. Not enough power and not elusive enough. I don't care what people say about European titles - this Polak doesn't have a win over a single known name on his resume and looks to have been feeding on other Polaks throughout his career. Absolutely awful against a mediocre opponent, I don't care to ever see him fight again after this.

Gonna be a wild last round.

lol a bit harsh, De-Gales being sloppy but dreadful no.
Re: Tonight's RBR.

Re: Tonight's RBR.
Pretty good performance from Degale. Took good shots and landed plenty back. Well done.

The winner and..........................................
Re: Tonight's RBR.
Don't be bitter because you just lost cash. He is more than likely the new European champion and you're calling for him to quit the sport? The Polak was underestimated big time by a lot of people.johnswan1 wrote:James should quit the sport or go to the States.
Re: Tonight's RBR.
Either way....
Degale is not ready for Kessler etc.
NO WAY!

Re: Tonight's RBR.
He should definitely stick around at Euro level for a while till he's comfortable. No need to rush him to a title shot at this stage.
Overall good performance for someone with 12 fights showed guts and determination. But nearly a case of too much too soon.

Poor performance by DeGale.
Kessler would take him out within 6-8 rounds.

Re: Tonight's RBR.
DeGale does need a new trainer to step up another level. This was wafer thin against someone who was decent but certainly not world class.
Re: Tonight's RBR.
Yep, it was a big risk and just about paid off. Fair play to him for going in the deep end, gone up in my estimation. He is still very raw though. The Dark Destroyer wrote:His progress does need to slow though, can't believe he was thrown in with him after the Groves fight. That fight could have gone very wrong, and he doesn't need to be in many more like that.Deno1986 wrote:Don't be bitter because you just lost cash. Re: Tonight's RBR.
The Polak would not have lasted against any genuine top ten fighter. DeGale was very poor. I don't care how many pro fights the guy had, it should not have been as tough as that. DeGale should have won every round tonight but instead he struggled to a majority draw. Where was the excitement? Honestly, the performance was so flat, it was awful. Warren will not be happy with that.
