Wonder what Sky make of tonight's action?

Post by whiskey »

If they can keep the run of fights going (Appleby, clev bellew, Hopkins) I see 456 giving them some serious competition indeed.

How long will it last? Not long!!!

They should let people pay on a monthly basis! Is it a one year upfront payment or a promise to pay 12 monrths at £10.00 a month?

Your dreaming how many casual fan will subcribe nowhere near a 100000 that they want. Boxing does not get good viewing figures on sky they wont care. None of my mates knew what channel this was on, the publicity for it was poor. When sky pull out of boxing in July which is likely this channel is not the answer!

If that is the case, what is the realistic answer

Sky will no way ditch prizefighter (whatever you may think about it) and therefore matchroom, at least

Well enjoy allegedly while it lasts never going to get casual to subcribe so it wont last. For all his failures in the past Mick Hennessy in the stong postion I heard a 12 fight deal on 5 with Eubank Jnr signing on board.

Great start, but this is pudendum Warren, remember? You're not all kids, and you all know life. In 6 months, you'll all bemoaning at the lack of competitive fights. Don't moan on here. allegedly? I wouldnt trust him to run me a bath.

I don't remember recording an early hours fight on sky sports and having the programme end during the first round of the main event. :shame:

If it was a monthly subscription allowing me to cancel anytime I wanted, then I'd do it. But I ain't stoopid enough to sign up to a 12 month contract with Warren. Been burned too many times. If people were always going to buy this channel, fair enough, but be VERY WARY about signing up JUST BECAUSE of the schedule now.

Theses fights are great, but I can't wait to see the line up after 6 months of the channel going PPV.

LOL.

Not in the first round but this situation has happened on Sky if the bill runs over the alloted time. Which in boxing does happen.

Sky working to put together their own big stable now.

Expect Froch and Khan as the big stars, with Brook, McCloskey, Barker, McDonnell, Martin Murray and Matthew Hatton as the next level.

And the guy they will build into a star next year is David Price.

I think they may show Macklin, he seemed to be liked. Is Khan coming back then?

Make your mind up Leforge.
Earlier you said Sky had done with boxing in June 2012.
Now you're saying they'll be showing Macklin !
Which is it mate ?
Was your comment re Sky based on anything factual ?
There is no way Sky will drop boxing.
