Re: Hopkins v Dawson
Dislocated shoulder apparently
Re: Hopkins v Dawson
If the ref declared it was no punch that caused Hopkins to go down, and he didn't start counting then this fight decision SHOULD be reversed (well not reversed but declared a no contest) and the ref should be banned from refereeing in world title fights....... He's basically said because it wasn't intentional he shouldn't be DQ'd.... its like he has never heard of the no contest ruling.
Rediculous.
Rediculous.

yep.
Bernard Hopkins has been released from the California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles after being x-rayed and examined by Dr. Sam Thurber, MD who diagnosed Hopkins with a separation of the acromioclavicular (A-C) joint which connects the collar bone and shoulder blade.
Re: Hopkins v Dawson
What a farce. At least in the rematch B-Hop will get to beat his own record.

Same......bloody allegedly.plymouthskinhead wrote:Bloody hell! I recorded the Hopkins-Dawson fight, fast forward it to the 'fight', then the show finishes halfway through the first round! Just as well because it lasted another round when B-Hop was chucked to the ground and injured his shoulder! How crap!!![]()

Re: Hopkins v Dawson
The less said about the main event the better, but the undercard was fantastic. If anyone hasn't seen Linares - DeMarco, there is a repeat of the card on allegedly at 6pm. The eleventh round was one of the best I have seen in a long time. Garcia - Holt was a great fight aswell apart from one scandalous scorecard.
Re: Hopkins v Dawson
Well now that it's official that Hopkins WAS infact injured via an AC Join Dislocation, alot of people will eat their words.
Especially that Johnny Nelson wannabe yesterday on allegedly.
Could just see in Buncey's eyes, wanting him to STFU.
Rule #1 Never make a judgement without all the facts.

Re: Hopkins v Dawson
hopkins has been in so many bad tempered fights. he has fouled so many times (see 2 fights with echols, allen trilogy). a very unsatisfactory end, but maybe poetic justice for such a contrary, rule-bending bugger.

I waited until the 6.00 showing and avoided forums ALL DAY and it ended with B-op being b-iatch.
