She was fighting in Mexico for IBF Women's Bantamweight title that was stripped of her 2 months ago and she was robbed by the judges. One gave it to Susie but other 2 gave it to Rivas.

It should read Split decision, majority decision is when one has it a draw and the other 2 have it to the same fighter.

Why was she stripped of the title? She only won it this year.

Apparently she did not defend it in time and was stripped.

How long do you get to defend a title, or does that depend on your connections?

I think it depends on how they won the title weather they were the already champion mandatory contender or voluntary defense or even vacant title.

It appears they must defend their title every 6 months. She won it on Feb 20 & had to defend by Aug 20, which she failed to do.

The IBF must have different rules for men and women. Moruti Mthalane beat Julio Cesar Miranda their vacant flyweight title on 20 November 2009 and his first defence was against Zolani Tete on 1 September 2010, well over six months later. :shame:
