The Shadow Titles & their lineage
The Shadow Titles & their lineage
This thread is dedicated to keeping an updated record of the lineages of the 5 titles.
What is a "Shadow Title"?
It is not a sanctioned belt. A Shadow Title is only adapted when a World Champion loses his belt without being defeated for it (examples include: vacating a belt or being stripped of it by The Commish).
The only way to win a Shadow Title is to beat the man who holds it & the Shadow Champion canot relinquish it, he keeps it until he losses and then it moves on... It's all about lineage.
This becomes necessary due to title lineages getting screwed up by various individuals. And so, without further ado here are the Shadow Titles:
WBC Shadow Title
Activated in Week 15 when Peter Jackson refused to defend against mandatory challenger, Mike Tyson.
Week 15: Peter Jackson loses to Rocky Marciano
Rocky Marciano is the current WBC Shadow Champion.
WBA Shadow Title
Activated in Week 16 when Jack Johnson refused to defend against a WBA top 10 fighter.
Week 16: Jack Johnson loses to Max Schmeling
Week 22: Max Schmeling loses to Muhammad Ali
Muhammad Ali is the current WBA Shadow Champion
WBO Shadow Title
Activated in Week 15 when Rocky Marciano refused to defend against a WBO top 10 fighter.
Rocky Marciano is the current WBO Shadow Champion.
***special case scenario
WBO 2nd Shadow Title
Activated in Week 19 when Peter Jackson refused to defend against mandatory challenger, Joe Louis
Week 21: Peter Jackson loses to Vitali Klitchsko
Week 22: Vitali Klitchsko loses to Jack Dempsey
Week 23: Jack Dempsey loses to Peter Jackson
Week 24: Peter Jackson loses to Jack Johnson
Week 26: Jack Johnson loses to Rocky Marciano
Rocky Marciano is the current WBO 2nd Shadow Champion - and both lineages are now unified.***
IBF Shadow Title
Activated in Week 21 when Rocky Marciano refused to defend against mandatory challenger, Joe Louis
Rocky Marciano is the current IBF Shadow Champion.
WBU Shadow Title
Activated in Week 20 when Joe Jeanette refused to defend against a sub 15th ranked fighter.
Week 21: Joe Jeanette loses to Max Schmeling
Week 22: Max Schmeling loses to Muhammad Ali
Muhammad Ali is the current WBU Shadow Champion.
This records will be kept up-to-date. And a Shadow Title's line only ends when it's been reunified with it's original conterpart.

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
The very fact that Rocky Marciano currently holds three of the bodires Shadow Titles just shows how much he has fucked the lineages up.
Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Crystal Clarity as to who is champion is as simple as referring to the Lonsdale lineage at any point in time.
Currently it is the man who has held the most belts, KO"d the most opponents, beaten every man he has faced, and fancies a good aged scotch. A sim fighter that possesses the best stats, gathered the most points and a Sim Icon that everyone agrees is state of the art, value driven and conversationally articulate when the need arises.
Crease is obsessed with smoke, mirrors and the art of obfuscation.
GBP on the other hand, provides blazing white sapphire clarity within the pages of SimRing Magazine on the Lonsdale Championship thread, regarding this subject.
The legendary story of this season begins with the "man who beat the man" commencing from the first two title holders with the cajones NOT to let a belt go to there head, OR get in there way, and ACTUALLY FIGHT EACH OTHER. In this season.....The famed rubber match between Peter Jackson and THE ROCK.
From that moment the Lonsdale rules provide guidance and discipline to an otherwise undisciplined sport.
Crease simply provides meandering meaningless monologues, bitter belligerent blasphemy's, inappropriate exaggerations, blatant bellicose blathering s, a veritable cornucopia of extravagant excuses, whining's, complaint's, bellyaching's and general negative nabobism's.
A sadder story than Crease and his hysterics...... is something you'll never find.

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
And LINEAGE is what these shadow titles are all about. Bearing that in mind, I would have thought that you of all people would accept this.BoxBuzz wrote:The legendary story of this season begins with the "man who beat the man"

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
If by "this" you refer to the Lonsdale lineage, then we are in complete agreement.
Lonsdale is a place where Marciano shines so brightly, there are NO SHADOWS to speak of. So your syntax is suspect at least.

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Lineage I meant... You harp instistently on about the Londale's lineage, yet you choose to ignore the lineage of the true world titles.BoxBuzz wrote:If by "this" you refer to the Lonsdale lineage, then we are in complete agreement.

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Lineages updated.
With Muhammad Ali defeating Schmeling in the MDT final, he has inheritited the WBA & WBU Shadow Titles. (& thus the natural evolution of thoses original titles)
Jack Dempsey inheritited the 2nd WBO Shadow Title lineage...

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
WBU lineage?
Did you mean ruffage? or garbage, or baggage perhaps?
Lineage? WBU? Somethings wrong with the concept. Ali never held the WBU did he?
If he did, That's every bit as bad if not worse, than mussing about with a man's toupee.

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Never held the belt, nor does he want to.
Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
That's what I thought, Ali is nothing if not a toupee tapping first class act.
Please advise Crease to be more sensitive when dropping the name of a HOF manager in such cavalier style.
He was associating the Ali name with WBU garbage, all in the same sentence.
The Noob.....Ok Senior Noob but still....inexcusable at best.

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Crease, don't do it again or we'll be sending Ali around to mete out another portion of Fistic Justice on Joe's face.
Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Guess thats Schmelings season over then

and appropriately so if such behavior should be repeated....

It's not a matter of choice... It's a matter of lineage.kevo wrote:Never held the belt, nor does he want to.
Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
F*ck your lineage. We don't need no stinkin' lineage.Crease wrote:It's not a matter of choice... It's a matter of lineage.kevo wrote:Never held the belt, nor does he want to.
Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Ali is WBA mandatory now, so (unless their is a draw) the belt holder will be unquestionable. It sets up a bout with Marciano perfectly
Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
The WBO Second Shadow Title (which was a branch-off) had been reunified with the WBO Shadow Title.

Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
This will not be kept udpated, but I will refer back to this at the end of the season and we'll see how ended up as the champion of each title lineage.
Re: The Shadow Titles & their lineage
Here's the only update you need....THE ROCK is now shadow champ for WBO,IBF,WBC and current WBC champion, cuz he takes your belt beats your over the head with it and then drops it cuz it don't mean a lot. More important he's always #1 and Lonsdale Lineal SimChamp Custom Deluxe Emeritus Supreme.
