"Juniors" are actually 15-16 year olds. 14 year olds are Intemediate and the only time they box in the "Senior JO" division is at Silver Gloves, where 16 year olds don't compete. You should stick to 15-16 in your top P4P.

Julian is actually from Paterson NJ. Still a very impressive line up. I know Julian like some others on this list will be making their Men's Division Debut.

Now, my question, not to divert off the list request" is that with all their success at the JO Level should they be moved up to Open Class or start off at Novice in the Men's until their 11th bout? I think if I'm not mistaken they go directly to Open (more than 11 bouts boxed)

They go directly to the open class and do not start over again. Heck - some of our SoCal boxers have 100 bouts, and international, experience by the time they turn 17! Can you imagine them starting over as novice? 8)

Milton Santiago has won Silver Gloves National, Ringside and etc, Mark Reyes Jr. is also being over looked, I believe with speed power and healthy he can easily win National Silver Gloves this year at 156.

I agree with you on Santiago. I believe Mark has potential but needs to win Silver Gloves this year at 15. He does have some competition this year at 56.

That kid Salazar looks like a Solid Champion for a long time coming. That would be incredible if he could get a medal in Olympics at the age of 17 ?

My noted on previous list (not my order but my two cents)

1. Gary Salazar 119 - my favorite boxer to talk to! Love this kid and can't wait for him to make good on the damage he promised me he'd do in open class.
2. Gervonta Davis 125 - known him since he was about 9. One of the best in the country and again can't wait to see him in the open.
3. Kareem Martin 145 - really a man in a boys body. The hardest hitting kid I've ever seen and could crack at 12
4. Erickson Lubin 132- looked like a pro vs. Amateurs at national JOs. Pretty sure he had the largest margin of victory of all boxers competing
5. Julian Rodriguez 138- gets better every time I see him. Don't go toe to toe with this kid, cause he will demolish you
6. Anthony Simms 165 - huge jump in weight class but still has his boxing skills with the size jump.
7. Jesus Luna 106 all he does is win and finally got a chance to see him live
8. Jaricio O'Quinn 114 jump on the scene with amazing power
9. Hector Valdez 114 scrappy kid who can box and bang
10. Gary Russell 114 you know what us get with the Russell crew. Will be making waves after making JO nationals for the first year
11. John Luna 165
12. Javier Martinez 145
13. Junior Younan 176+

Invitational aren't weighed as much as the Silvers or JOs both of which are advancing tournaments lasting over three different stages and multiple months. The Jr. GGs is a pay to box that is held over a few days. Maybe three bouts at the max

Kevin Salgado is a good fighter. He won the 2010 Jr GG at 110 not 125. He lost to Lamont Roach Jr. in the 2011 Jr GG Championship at 125lb. Roach Jr. also won the 2010 National Jr. GG at 125lb.

Rob, your son has a promising future ahead. I watched him closely at Ringside and couldn't believe the decision. Talk about controversial!!!!!! I talked to him briefly after and he's a well spoken young man. His style is very professional and he is one of few I have seen with pure boxing skill. Look forward to watching him this year. I will definitely be pulling for him at the JOs

Thank You for your kind words about my son. He Loves Boxing and is getting better everyday. Loves to train and learn more everyday. I'm constantly looking for different techniques etc... but I agree he is a pure boxer with great jab. Chase will be 154 all year until ringside this august ... maybe 165 but so far holding good at 154. I'm taking him to Ohio for Arnold Classic Thursday for our 1st tourney. He is 16 until Nov 6th so we hope to make all the Tournaments this year. Goal to win Junior Olympic Nationals at 154 this year...??? I leave for Australia march 9th then fight 17th... I win One more but if I lose I will retire for Good and just train Chase 'Kid Dynamite" Calloway 6'0 154 80 Amateur Bouts Right handed.
