I am starting to wonder if Chad Dawson is delusional. He honestly believes that he won this fight fair and square and i find it rather embaressing. Chad Dawson didn't win this fight, he didn't knock out Bernard Hopkins, Dawson either fouled Hopkins or accidently threw him to the ground. Bernard Hopkins then dislocated his shoulder and couldn't continue. These are the facts !!
This scenario doesn't match up to how Dawson is acting and whatt he is saying. Maybe it's because the refereee got it wrong and claimed it was a "technical knockout" rather than the no contest that it should of been and this is giving some validity and excuse to Dawson to then claim the win as legal, fair and above board. He claims that Hopkins quit, but Dawson doesn't give an explanation as to how you can fight on with a discolated shoulder. He then goes on to say that he knew Hopkins wanted to quit at the weigh in because according to Dawson, Hopkins said he was a "Gangsta" which is quite bizzare. Then to cap it all Winky Wright comes on stage to say that Hopkins quit, was a dirty fighter and that Dawson "had to do what he had to do......."
Why couldn't Dawson have said that whilst he was now the new world champion, he recognised the fact that he had won the fight on the basis of a wrong decision by the referee and that in his mind Hopkins was in no state to continue and the contest should have been ruled a no contest. Then he should have gone on to say that he will give Hopkins a guaranteed re-match when he fit enough to resume his career and fight again. It is beyond me that any man can say that he won a fight when it is effing obvious to everyone that the reality is the complete opposite. Chad Dawson you are a disgrace and not worthy of respect.
For the Dawson interview go to approx 8 mins 30 seconds

Nah, I can't call him a dick for that. It was silly to throw Hopkins like that, but Hopkins is a dirty fighter and I guess Chad had got it into his head that he was gonna rough up Hopkins right back and beat him at his own game. I'm sure they'd thought about that aspect of the fight all the way through training for a fighter like Hopkins.
Then Hopkins has a reputation for over-acting to get points deducted or to get a fighter thrown out. It's always annoying when he does it because almost all of us agree Hopkins is a really good fighter who really doesn't need to pull that kind of crap to win.
Dawson had worked himself up into a mindset where he was going to out-rough the gangster. He'd also been training hard for the fight. He WANTED to fight.
So when Hopkins did his thing, whether he was really injured or not (I think he was) I can understand that Dawson was angry. Like, "Get up dude!" and you can understand how, after all that work and psyching himself up the most important night of his boxing career had just turned into an absolute dud. He was probably also pissed at himself for having done the throw in the first place, but it really was a freak accident that it effed up Bernards arm so bad. It was obviously just to rattle him and to show he couldn't muscle Dawson around. So the reaction was a mixture of anger at Hopkins and himself.
But after all Hopkins talking, you have to agree he didn't come across as some OG warrior at the end of this fight. And he lied at the end, or was creative with the truth anyway, when he said in the post fight interview that he wanted to continue with one arm. He definitely said it like: "Yeah sure I can fight... WITH ONE F*CKING ARM YOU RETARD!" (Not the exact quote, before anyone get's annoyed and says he never said that) but that was basically the gist of it. He certainly didn't want to carry on.
Look, I think it should be a NC. But I feel sorry for Dawson if it get's changed because it was an accident that Bernard got hurt like that. And I feel sorry for Bernard if the result doesn't get overturned, because he really doesn't deserve to go out like that.
Immediate rematch should be mandated. That's it.
