Buster Mathis Jr Vs Chris Byrd

Post by ShoeShine »

I would probably go with Chris Byrd even though I think Buster Mathis Jr was pretty good, couldnt punch worth shit but he could box.

Am I missing something? Buster Mathis Jr had some boxing ability but achieved nothing. Byrd, against the odds, has held the WBO and IBF titles and defeated some decent opponents. He's got to be a league above Buster.

I'm calling it for Byrd in an easy victory. Too skilled clever and fast.

LOL, but Buster fought both Mike Tyson & Riddick Bowe.

Who are Byrds best opponents? He beat a relic to win his IBF belt.

The reason I mentioned these two guys in a fantasy fight was because they both had similair styles for heavyweights, they both didnt hit very hard but had very good boxing abilities and also both had pretty good defenses.

Try Ike Ibeabuchi, both Klitschkos, David Tua, Golota, McCline . . .

Mathis fought Bowe and Tyson but so what? He got obliterated by both.

Byrd by decision.

Hey Hey woaaah Dempseyfire...sshhhhh! Time Out!

I do agree with you on your well made point (although "the one we do speak of" did beat Byrd) We sort of have an ageement here that no one mention "his" name. You see everytime "his" name appears in print here an angel gets their wings.....oh no wait a minute sorry that's not it .....

Oh yeah everytime that guys name appears in print here some idiot starts five new threads on him. And well it sort of annoys the hell out of everybody here.

The fact that you actually put his entire name in this thread is an agregious error and is punishable by no less than having to watch ALL of John Ruiz's last 15 fights in there entirety with the exception of the losses to Jones and Holyfield, and unfortunately this would not include his Fight with David Tua. So think about that the next time you consider such a slip of the keys. I'm sure it was just an oversight and we all have bad days.

So if you could just say a code name like "The Rapist" or maybe "The President" but just don't put his actual name in print in these threads.

We simply do not speak of him. I beleive we all are in agreement that it's really for the best. We have to think of the children.
