Nothing wrong with his heart. Quigg was beating him in every department and was miles ahead. Jason doesnt have the power for a big turnaround punch at SBW so I didnt see much point in him going on, he'd given it a damn good go.

He was never going to win it and was taking some big shots, it was the correct thing to do. Never seen one person complain about it.

If he lacked heart he could of gone down from some of those shots tonight. He just had the fight taken out of him tonight, i wouldn't call it a lack of heart.

Maybe if he was younger he might have tried to hang onto his British title alittle longer. You've got to admit it would send out abit of message to anybody who fights him from now on, just bully him for 7 rounds, he probably won't fancy the second half of the fight.

Do so and see if Jason lacked heart in that one, tonight he wasn't in the races. For the first time in 44 fights he was retired it was being discussed by his corner during the 5th and 6th rounds, they could see this wasn't the Jason of old.

That only works if they can bully him for 7 rounds as effectively as Scott Quigg, I doubt there are many on the domestic scene who have the quality to do that. Plus I doubt we'll see Booth again and if we do it would be back down at Bantam/S Fly where he wouldnt get bullied.

I for one would like to see him bow out now, he's had a great career.

no one can question Jason Booths Heart , what a rediculous thing to ask .

No he wasnt on form and hes shown signs of decline in his last few fights to be honest , but getting a bit older doesnt mean his desire to win wasnt there , he just wasnt physically capable of doing what he wanted to do .

Id like to see him get a goodbye fight in his home stadium (Harvey hadden) , nothing too difficult but a chance for people to see him off on a high note

IMO yes i'd like to see Jason retire, but its up to him if he continues.

I think they all knew it was over, the way he went to Quigg at the end of that round and almost said ''well done''.

He's had a great run, winning British titles at several weights including a Lonsdale outright at 122.

The only regret he could have is wanting to know what he could have been had he not had his troubles in the past, probably wouldn't have done much more than what he did, but would have been good to have seen him in there mixing with the best on a regular basis.

I'd like to see him give it away now, he's lost his British title now and is on the way down. At least he lost it to a top prospect rather than some middling domestic prospect by bullshit split decision or something. No need to become a journeyman of sorts.

Can always become a trainer, he's one of the smartest technicians we've had in recent years.

quigg was too big and too strong, booth still has a future at the lower weights imo. i have enjoyed watching booth over the years, a classy boxer and no he did not quit tonight. i would like to see those who question his heart get in the ring and be constantly hit to head and body for 6 rounds...wankers

He was getting schooled but I felt for him because it looked like Maloney just had no faith in him getting back into it and was pressing for hm to quit from the 6th round. As the champion they should have given him the opportunity to go the distance, he was never likely to win but I just felt that there was a lack of confidence in him...let's face it Maloney had him beaten weeks ago.
I'm all for pulling fighters out if they are getting badly beaten but Booth was fighting back and was still moving well.

As the bell rang for the end of the round he tapped Quigg (who boxed brilliantly and came of age tonight) on the head, when he got back to his corner he was shaking his head, if he didn't quit then he didn't want to fight on.
