The question is, did the channel actually show the whole card live or did it cut out the same as the recording.

I taped it live using the manual record method.Taped the whole show and watched it this morning.

Ok cheers so if the programme finished on the planner but continued past it's allotted time slot did the planner say "programmes start at 8 pm etc" if so would you be able to manually record this period when the channel was supposedly off air? Sorry if it sounds a bit confusing.

I taped one manually and it taped everything.

The other recording just stopped during the fight and said 'End of programme. Press back up tpo continue'

Do you understand what I am saying? This isn't a Sky channel that will always come free with my Sky subs. This is going to be a premium channel that will want £120 a year off me. I am not disputing the fact that they aren't ways around the the Sky+, cos I believe you when you say you can manually do it. My point is that I shouldn't have to do it. It's an easy thing extending the EPG, to say, what 7am, and after BHOP/Dawson, you'd think they'd do it. But they haven't. If I am going to engage in any contract in my life, I need confidence in them. Sloppiness is being easy on them. This should'nt happen twice on the bounce. If they don't give a shit about rectifying that, then I worry about the quality of service we might get in 6 months. Hence why I won't be paying for BN.

Thanks Dioufy I was having a bit of joke, having to manually set the set-top box sent me back to the days of VHS and the 'revolutionary' Videoplus! So not quite a neandrathal but old enough to remember I always hated manually setting things to record and Sky+ with it's series links and ability to forward through ALL adverts was heaven sent.
Like you say Dioufy why on earth can't a specialist (soon to be PPV) boxing channel extend it's programme schedule to seven in the morning and finish the broadcast as usual leaving it recording nothing until finish .

Hagler your suggestion never became the 'sensible' option, I thought it initially the refuge of a lone nerd but then Boxing Oracle joined in and gave us the lowdown on recording manually, I imagine he is BoxnNation affliated and has joined to instruct the future punters on sorting it out for themselves which we should not have to do.

It's their problem to fix not mine to find a way around
