2k On Katsidis

Post by Hagler2002 »

Well not quite  But I've a big chunk of cash on this, more than I can actually afford to lose but it's like buying money.

If this turns out to be a repeat of the Martinez fight I have a one way ticket to the poor house.

Come on Micky, do it for England :TU:

I think Burns has got the style to trouble MK and Katsidis was easily outclassed by Guerrero. You may get paid, but it's not a fight I'd like to have a load invested in

All depends what the Guerro beating took out of him. Fighters like Katsidis get old overnight

Bit risky Hagler............ :o

Katsidis still has something left in the tank and Burns is decent but no Guerrero !!

I wish you look mate :TU:

I fancy Katsdis to win in 5 rounds but no way I would put that amount on it.

Im with you Hagler. I have a nice chunk on Katsidas anytime stoppage. Burns is decent but I dont think he has faced anything like this animal and like Mitchell before him, I fancy he will be outworked and smothered inside 7

I doubt that Burns has dealt with anything like Katsidis but that doesn't mean to say he can't deal with him. As it happens though I think a late round stoppage for Katisidis is the way to go. He's been in some wars but I still think he's got too much for Burns.

Not quite sure i agree with the stoppage part of this post, but i do agree with the rest of this post :TU:

I was thinking Burns points originally but i'm an optimist and thought i'd put my neck out with a fairly bold prediction :OhYes:
It's more of a wild stab in the dark than a bold prediction, with Burns moving up in weight and not a known puncher.

The "do it for england" bit is enough for me to say i hope your counting coppers out your piggy bank to pay for dinner the following day.

Not really confident but Katsidis is beatable so im looking forward to it.

Cmon Ricky boy, do it for Scotland. :OhYes:

Me too, one is still yet to peak and the other has had more than his fair share of beatings/wars,i think Burns will have a scare or two but will come through on points, hope so anyway

I just don't see peoples optimism with Burns. I remember the same sort of views about the Katsidis-Mitchell fight, I see something very similar happening here.

Ricky is no William Wallace and unless he can shoot lightning bolts from his arse he's had it.

Brave. I fancy Kat, but it depends on how much he's slipped, if he has at all. The Ghost beat him well - that could well hurt him. On a side note, if I had a spare 2k, I'd hire a very big man to beat you up from behind, with a tennis racket. If Kat wins, then the drinks are on you.

has to be said guys Guerrero looked good/dominant early, but not nearly so sharp in the later rounds as i recall, its not as though Katsidis was on the end of a 12 round drubbing, in fact i seem to recall the fight was a bit 'meh' after round 6.

I haven't seen any evidence he's slipped, 4 defeats to Casamayor, Juan Diaz, JMM & Guerrero are nothing to be disgraced about and in all fairness there was only really Guerrero that gave him a bit of a lesson.

I don't think Burns is anywhere near this level and has been hugely overrated after he beat Martinez who was frankly shocking the night they fought.

I think Burns beats him on points or possibly stops him late due to cuts.

I would love to go for Burns here but Kastidis had Casamayor and Juan Manuel Marquez on the floor in his losses and stopped Mitchell convincingly. I would bet he hits a whole lot harder than Martinez who had Burns on his backside in the first round. I really hope Burns can outbox him and make for another great night but I can't see him lasting 12 to be honest and I am leaning towards a mid round stoppage. I hope I am proved wrong though.

Burns will put up a better display than your boys did! (no disrespect intended to Earl who fought his heart out that night).

I think Katsidis in 4 rounds. What I find incredible is Boxrecs world lightweight ratings Katsidis at 13, Burns who's just moved up from super feather at 12 ( ) and Mitchell at 6 (  ????) Great for records but do boxrec have an 8 year old doing there ratings?

It beggars belief so many people reckon Burns, a career super feather is going to beat Michael Katsidis.
