The lad has only had 11 fights and before Smith who had he beat ?

I admit this is the first I have seen of Selby, and he looked rangey and awkward but was just looking for a single big shot (and for some reason Smith allowed him to take pot shots all fight).

He is probably British class, but to say European never mind World class is premature to say the least.

At least he seems to have sensible management behind him. They basically said on TV that he was a young lad who needs a lot more experience. Hopefully we will see him in a few decent domestic fights before / if he moves up a level.

I said he's european class and possibly has arrived on the world scene, the euro statement I stand by and to an extent that result will be looked at by the likes of the IBF & WBO both of which Stephen was highly ranked with after the second Simpson fight :wink:

Im not saying he's ready for the best by any means, BUT I just believe he's arrived at that level with that last performance... :wink:

what promoter is selby with and will he be staying at featherweight for the time being??? his ko of smith reminded me a little of julian jackson!

He was fighting at higher weights at feather he's had 3 fights 3 ko's
