Re Tatevosyan vs. Lansanna Diallo bout for 12/25/2000
Boxrec has it as an IBF intercontinntal middle title bout --
I have a report from "Ringside Belgium" web page that says it was an "interim" IBF Intercontintal bout. (http://www.sportchiefs.com/ringside/00122501.htm)
Does anyone have additional info on this one??

Lansana Diallo is still the IBF intercontinental middleweight champion. He's fighting in Brussels on Friday (no defence, though). As far as I recall, the bout against Tatevosyan was a genuine IBF intercontinental bout, in which Diallo was gifted a decision on a silver Christmas plate. The fact that Diallo - a truly nice fellow originally from Guinea - holds that belt says enough about the value of it, the more since he rarely ever defends it.
