did anyone see this fight?..i hear Satterfield hit him with EVERYTHING he had and LaMotta just shrugged it off.....
..i didn't see it and like you i'd love to hear from someone who did.
whenever lamotta bragged about his chin, he always used taking satterfield's punches as the example of how good it was. i heard him say in an interview that satterfield actually raised bumps on his head.
and, as was the usual sattferfield fight, he got kayoed when he ran out of steam as jake just kept coming at him.
provincial note: although there was considerable publicity when wrigley field broke with a long tradition and added lights for night games, that was not the first time lights were at wrigley. the above fight was there and at night and temporary lights were put up for it.
