Dean Bryne versus Frank Horta - a very bad decision
Re: Dean Bryne versus Frank Horta - a very bad decision
No way should he have turned the fight down. He had nothing to lose - he'll get paid, get his name out there and he could've won, and even though he didn't, he can come again, because he was in against a decent operator, whom he decided to fight at 24hrs notice, who was bigger, and who was more experienced.
Bryne doesn't look great at all, but this loss means very little... well to me anyhow.

I don't think Bryne is the future of allegedly (well I hope not), I wonder if somebody has invested abit of money in him? They must be kicking themselves. He hasn't got an entertaining style,he doesn't seem to have power and he's certainly not top of the bill material. Atleast he looked p1ssed off when his corner pulled him out. It's hard to see where he goes from here though, I think he's had his 15 minutes.

Totally agree. When he was on the week before we put it down to ring rust. When he fought the week after I think we realised that he wouldnt make the grade.yid14 wrote:I don't think Bryne is the future of Allegedly channel (well I hope not), I wonder if somebody has invested abit of money in him? The loss to me has put him in the shop window as he has been out of the limelight for a while so on that respect he had no option but to take the fight. Plus I guess he earned well too.

To me Woodhouse shuld have got the call, loosing a very very close decision to funtime and knowing he would be ready he at least deserved the call
Re: Dean Bryne versus Frank Horta - a very bad decision
I read on here that somebody said Deano should have met people like Horta a few fights ago!
That's brave matchmaking.
Adios.

byrne took the fight at 24 hour hours and fought at a weight above deserves all the credit in the world, dont think this will have any lasting damage to his career

Maybe a little harsh but I certainly think he needs to go back to the drawing board.slapbangwhallop wrote:Each to their own but I think you are wrong there.yid14 wrote:Hopefully not interesting enough to put on t.v.slapbangwhallop wrote:Byrne v McDonagh would be interesting.

I've just been informed Audley didn't get voted out, I really don't know why I shared that onhere.King Geedorah wrote:There's no drawing boards left, Audlely's got them all in his house!yid14 wrote:Maybe a little harsh but I certainly think he needs to go back to the drawing board.slapbangwhallop wrote: Each to their own but I think you are wrong there.
Byrne took it and it was a big ask as Horta did well against Thompson when Mark was knocking people about. Why not go for it?
