In a book i have called "The Book of Boxing", there is a story of an interview with John L. Sullivan..
At the top before the interview starts, it states:
This interview was held 6 weeks before Sullivans fight with Jake Kilrain, in which Sullivan knocked Kilrain out in the 75th round..
So, you should put round 75 instead of a question mark...
And...
In the interview, Sullivan mentions the fight is fought under the London prize ring rules..which allows you to wrestle and throw your opponant to the floor, is fought with bare knuckles, and there was a break every 30 seconds.. I assume that that means each round was 30 seconds, which is why there were so many rounds..
John L. Sullivan vs. Jake Kilrain
Back then, those were considered real fights and were added along with his record..All boxing history books have his record at 39-1-3 not 35-1-3
They should be put back on in my opinion..i didnt state for them to be deleted..I was just telling you what round he knocked Kilrain out in...it was round 75..
In many boxing books it states he won his supposed "world" title in his 1882 fight against Paddy Ryan in which he knocked him out in the 9th round...and that fight has been taken out
I think you should put those fights back, but underneath just mention "London Prize Ring Rules were used"
Thanks!!
