Scott Pemberton
Scott Pemberton
Was one of my favourite fighters, and one of the most excting tv fighters of the last 20 years, your thoughts on pemberton?
Re: Scott Pemberton
The way he folded against Lacy was disappointing. If he had beaten Lacy, it would have been interesting to see him in with Calzaghe.
His two fights with Sheika were awesome.

Great back and forth scrap with Charles Brewer too
Re: Scott Pemberton
Not really. Pemberton wouldn't have had even a modicum of success.baulks wrote:The way he folded against Lacy was disappointing. If he had beaten Lacy, it would have been interesting to see him in with Calzaghe.

Re: Scott Pemberton
Entertaining fighter but not the most durable, in my opinion. Tall, rangy and with good power. Didn't really hold a shot all that well.
That's how I remember him.

Re: Scott Pemberton
He had a scheduled fight with Danny Green in Austraila in October 2005, which Green pulled out of due to a fractured vertebrae in his spine caused by a body punch in sparring.
Had the fight gone ahead, I think it would have gone similarly to the Pemberton-Lacy fight. Pemberton could bang, but Green was the most powerful super middleweight in the planet and had/has a first rate chin, something that Pemberton never had. Would have been fun while it lasted, but I think Green would have won this one in three rounds or less.
