Omar BOOM BOOM Shaick continues his rise up the Australian boxing rankings Friday 15 April at the Mansfield Tavern when he challenges Tito Mwetupunga for the Australian Middleweight Title. Shaick has been ultra impressive in his first 9 fights with 8 wins and a close points loss to his credit. Mwetupunga is equally impressive with 12 wins from his 14 starts.
Fighting on the undercard but in what should be another main event is Josh King up against Jason Crowe for the vacant Australian Light Welterweight Title held by King.
The trio of main event fights is between 2 local QLD legends in Mick Shaw and Brett W Smith. Both boxers are regulars on Ace Boxing fight nights and will have the crowd pumped as they square off for the Australian Lightweight Title. Brett W Smith won this title back in December and is eager to defend while Shaw on the other hand is the old stager and former Champion who would love to stand once again centre ring as the Aussie Champ.
On the under card is Trent Broadhurst - current QLD Super Middleweight champion, he is matched to fight Aaron Ross.
The Junk Yard Dog Aaron Russell ends off the main undercard. He is fresh from a fantastic win over Abmarir Singh last week (11.3.11) and will be looking to continue his winning ways. The army of support Russell brings is electrifying!
