James Toney Vs Rocky Marciano

...toney's turning to the side defense would give marciano trouble, as marciano wouldn't be able to hit him in the groin. he would also have a hard time holding him behind the head with one arm while hitting him with the other. lacking two of the favorite weapons in his arsenal rocky would have to hit him in the kidneys which is a legal punch as long as the puncher isn't holding and marciano wouldn't have to hold to do this as toney would have that part of his body exposed by his stance. so...i have to say marciano takes this one, and toney pees blood for a week.

I think this fight would be a stylistic match-up very similar to Jirov-Toney...The problem though is that Marciano is way stronger, and more powerful than Jirov and he wouldn't wear down in the later rounds. Considering that Jirov gave Toney all he could handle, I'd say it's pretty likely Marciano would give him far more than he could handle. I could see Toney possibly winning his 2 best rounds of the fight, and giving Rocky a pretty tough go of it with his slickness. But Rocky would win most rounds with the harder punches and the higher workrate. I don't know if Rocky stops Toney or not. If it's a 12 rounder, I'd give Toney the benefit of the doubt that he could last the distance. If it's 15, I'm not so sure. Regardless though Rocky would win for sure
