Good thing for Larry. Chisora would be too much for him imo. Think he should aim for a comeback fight against someone like Kevin McBride. He KO'd Skelton in prizefighter but the ref didn't see the punch land. He went 12 rounds with Tomasz Adamek back in April and both would be coming in off a KO loss. He's still a name because of his Mike Tyson win. Would make a decent undercard fight.

Would be last chance saloon for both of them!

McBride was nearly killed in his last fight. He should never be allowed into a boxing ring again.

Larrys a standup guy
Sounds like he's been sitting down a lot lately though.... :OhYes:

On a serious note though, this was such an important fight in Larrys career that it would have been crazy going in without being 110% against Chisora.

If he misses out on a rescheduled match up with Del then i'd love to see Larry in a HW Prizefighter! :TU:
How often does Warren let his fighters fight in Prizefighter? I thought he was staunchly against it. Would be great to see Larry in the tournament (alongside Towers, Dallas and Rogan maybe!) but can't see it ever being allowed.

im glad this fight aint happening. larry needs more fights & to loosen up & relax. he has great natural attributes which he can exploit more with expieriance & he shouldnt use them as a lottery to possibly win fights. everyone is aware of larrys strentghs & stay clear & exploit his weaknesses.larry is a natural athlete & has plenty of time.

Mr Bessey I was waiting for you or Daimien to come on, who is Richard Drago? Has he had any pro experience? He looked quite good in an unlicensed fight I saw against Mark Potter. He was billed out of Manchester but didn't look english, what do you know about him has he been on any of your shows?

theres a lad called pav (im sure they called him drago) but maybe it was just cos he was tussian) hopefully im getting him down to fight my lad dale in the new year i have heard hes good something like 16-4 i think but i have never actually seen him did he last the distance with potter?
I got sent the fight through facebook (Marks my cousin) If I figure out how to do it I'll send it to you, Yeah he looked very good looked like he fought pro good jab and might have even been winning the fight but got stopped by Mark in the 6th and final round, I think he just tired towards the end he caught Mark with so many clean punches (Mark's defence was pretty poor though)

Well I feel bad for Chisora. This must be the third pullout this year he's had to deal with.

The Klitschko non-fight raised his profile without him taking a shot, so I think that was a blessing.

And it also made a lot of people think that he is more capable than he actually is.

Fair comment, but I wasn't one of them. I think the wife-beater has gone as far as he can. Helenius will dominate him, regardless of what shape he is in.

ive seen him Pav Drago , from Bolton , Drago not his real name as hes from Russia and got some unpronouncable name , anyway when ive seen him he looks pretty good , he beat up eric the viking for a round and the viking refused to come out for the second round , i know viking isnt exactly as good as he looks but Drago still looked impressive .
Will be an excellent fight between him and Billys fighter , both good enough to pro , Billys lad beat my own fighter who himself had done some competitive sparring with richard towers in the build up to the fight .

I don't think so. Most people thought it was a total mismatch and ridiculed it.

The aggrandizing effect that non-fight had on Chisora's reputation was not enough to convince people that he belonged in the ring with Klitschko (does any fighter?), but it was enough to convince many people that if Chisora gets in shape he would be able to successfully compete with the likes of Dimitrenko and Helenius. This is despite the fact that Chisora has never beaten anyone better than Sam Sexton.

Maybe Chisora is overrated for other reasons, but I don't recall such high appraisals of his potential before the Klitschko imbroglio.

Michael fornicating Sprott gave Dimitrenko a decent fight, man. Of course Chisora would be competitive with him. He'd most likely beat Dimitrenko with ease.

Based on what? Chisora won three rounds at tops when he fought an opponent who has the potential to go past British level.

Dimitrenko looked poor against Sprott (who would be Chisora's second best opponent to date) but he still won clearly, and has also beaten several Euro level operators. He's also in shape and can do more than throw wild flurries.

Dimitrenko was nearly stopped against Eddie Chambers. Chisora would put him on the canvas time after time with that left hook.

We all know that Chisora was in no condition to fight against Fury.

I disagree. He has some nice footwork but he's completely feather-fisted.

He doesn't have much pop but he would beat Del boy and Fury for that matter, by a clear distance.

Different level completely. The English boys have not been tested yet. They have only fought each other and it's hard to gauge how they would get on against the top 10 chaps of which Chambers certainly is.

I think Fury could beat Dimitrenko ( still a close fight to call ) but not Del boy.
