Don't think there was any need to protect Carmen's unbeaten record with a bogus draw. He's clearly not going anywhere.

Now i bet Jay Morris will be called before the board for walking out of the ring and having a go about being stopped, Robert Smith from the board of control is sat ringside, and i also bet that the scoring of the Ref in the Bowen fight won't be questioned.

Ricky has won the tat war and the first round.

Definately although Kasidas power does tend to fade the longer a fight goes on.My T Sharp wrote:Good first round

Really liked the look of Burns in the first round - established the jab and stayed calm when Katsidis was applying pressure. Can see him taking this on clear points decision as the move up in weight seems to suit him - Kat certainly doesn't seem the bigger man in there.

Good start by Burns, mixing his punches in well with his defensive work.
Re: tonights R by R
Boxing News in their preview seemed to forget that Burns has beaten Graham Earl as well as Katsidis.
Re: tonights R by R
Burns has matured into a nice wee boxer. Really impressed with his backfoot work. Only concern is if he has the power to dent Katsidis and stop him motoring forward.

Cracking fight. More punch variety from Burns for me.
Re: tonights R by R
Burns is doing great, looks like warren has timed it right again when to match-up against a dangerous opponent.Deserter wrote:Really liked the look of Burns in the first round - established the jab and stayed calm when Katsidis was applying pressure. That left to the body from Burns looks hurtful
Re: tonights R by R
Top work from Burns. 3-0 up in rds.
Re: tonights R by R
Ricky doing the business so far. Very mature performance so far.
Re: tonights R by R
My girlfriend says kasteidis is a "hard bitter hippy"
Re: tonights R by R
Katsidis doesn't seem to be throwing his right hand correctly. He's corkscrewing it.
Wouldn't like to take one mind you

Yep, so true mate. Have to give Warren his dues on that.exittored wrote:Burns is doing great, looks like warren has timed it right again when to match-up against a dangerous opponent.Deserter wrote:Really liked the look of Burns in the first round - established the jab and stayed calm when Katsidis was applying pressure.
