Re: tonights R by R
as the 117-112 & 117-111 came in the stream crashed, i'm guessing in shock at the score
Re: tonights R by R
To be honest I don't think it's that bad of a card. I think some people gave Burns too much credit simply because his work was more pleasant to the eyes.Livingstone Cole wrote:exittored wrote:6-6 a DRAW
although i'm pretty sure BURNS will win by around 115-113 on scorecards.![]()
Didn't you score the Johnson Froch fight a draw too?

Someone said they lumped a fiver on the draw at 40/1 haven't looked myself but those kind of numbers you normally get for a draw.Livingstone Cole wrote:Dirk Kelly wrote:40/1 someone said.Old bones Ian wrote:What odds are a draw? Could see that happening
I saw it at 25/1

Too wide scoring, but right person won. Ricky Burns is class, and Billy Nelson seemed to be the calmest man in the arena tonight, very under rated trainer.

No way Katsidis was gettin the nod in England.

Deserved win
Burns boxed brilliantly, his punches were sharper with better variety. Katsidis was value for money as ever.

Yeah if one man had to win then BURNS definately deserved it although i do think one too many ring wars has finally caught up with Kasidas as he didn't have that same spark from years ago.Old bones Ian wrote:Too wide scoring, but right person won. Burns should definately be seen as a TOP 10 Lightweight after this performance but that's as far as it goes for now.
Anyway GOOD FIGHT and now we have what i think could be an even better one in GROVES vs SMITH.

Might be worth noting that Groves is in the blue corner if this goes to points

So how many people did Groves bring into the ring? Looked like 7 to me.
Re: tonights R by R
Very cagey rather boring 1st round.
Maybe Paul smith just nicked it.

Fancy Smith by a stoppage in this one. Groves looks a bit fragile.

Smith shows he has the power there
Re: tonights R by R
Groves hurt in the first.
1-0 Smith
