Just to let everyone know, Graham Brooke Senior passed away yesterday, after a long illness, He was the father of former Australian and Commonwealth Lightweight Champion, Graeme "Porky" Brooke.
Fighting under the name of Graham Douglas, he was a good honest prelim fighter, having fought the likes of Darryl Carrick, Mohammad Omar, Manny Benson and Arthur Kemp. His record, while having more losses than wins, showed he was afraid of no-one and was a real warrior, he gave his absolute best everytime he stepped between the ropes.
He raised a beautiful family and helped make Porky one of the brightest young stars in Aussie boxing, both as an both Amateur and Professional.
Graham will be sadly missed by everyone, especially Porky who is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, Graeme Senior did a lot of work within the aboriginal community, and was loved by everyone who ever got to meet him.
