Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
What is it now? Wasn't it around 49-0 before Macklin v Sturm, whats it fallen to in recent months as he's going through a bit of a nightmare of a run as of late.

Maybe its down to the oppositon being better and more 50/50 fights? Who knows?
He is NOT a Buddy Mcgirt ( good fighters become crap) type of trainer.

Re: Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
Certainly more 50-50 fights and I'm not calling him a bad trainer by any stretch of the imagination, just was it a case of a trainer padding "his record"? And as a result were more fighters jumping ship to him?Riddim wrote:iamasadlittleboy wrote:What is it now? The Sturm v Macklin fight you could very very easily have given to Macklin

I really dont know where this record comes from as joe trained a lad(pro) called scot sandman i think who lost in rainton meadows to south shields boxer chris mullen a couple yrs ago?????Now stattos does that not count on joes record.iamasadlittleboy wrote:What is it now? Scot sandman 5 fights 2 win 2 loses 1 draw i know joe was in his corner for at least one of these bouts.boxingfarmer30 wrote:I really dont know where this record comes from as joe trained a lad(pro) called scot sandman i think who lost in rainton meadows to south shields boxer chris mullen a couple yrs ago?????Now stattos does that not count on joes record.iamasadlittleboy wrote:What is it now? Re: Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
Would he have been his trainer or just a guy in the corner? (i.e. it's not on his record on a weird technicality such as being an assistant trainer)boxingfarmer30 wrote:Scot sandman 5 fights 2 win 2 loses 1 draw i know joe was in his corner for at least one of these bouts.boxingfarmer30 wrote:I really dont know where this record comes from as joe trained a lad(pro) called scot sandman i think who lost in rainton meadows to south shields boxer chris mullen a couple yrs ago?????Now stattos does that not count on joes record.iamasadlittleboy wrote:What is it now? I think what was said was the run started from there that was his last loss or something like that

Jon since 2008 scotts last loss john murray went 8 fights undefeated im not going throught maclins joe murrays crollas or any one else he's trained but im sure it doesn't amount to 37+ bouts.jonp wrote:I think what was said was the run started from there that was his last loss or something like that

And surely if it was 45-0 and he's had 1 loss surely it shouldn't be an 0 full stop,i've nothing against joe i just know the rcord is false.boxingfarmer30 wrote:*through*boxingfarmer30 wrote:Jon since 2008 scotts last loss john murray went 8 fights undefeated im not going throught maclins joe murrays crollas or any one else he's trained but im sure it doesn't amount to 37+ bouts.jonp wrote:I think what was said was the run started from there that was his last loss or something like that

Re: Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
Its a load of ones ar se,he's a decent trainer don't get me wrong but theres other good trainers some better that have losses on there record but don't go along with a fictional theory of so many undefeated fights. And it was a Phil jefferies show in sunderland.jonp wrote:Its all hype ent it lol i made that match i think im sure it was on a wally dixon show.

Re: Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
I don't like the way he gets his boxers to fight. No Plan B.
Lets face it, if Murray goes at Rios the same way he did against Mitchell, he's fucked. Again.

Re: Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
Gallagher is an excellent trainer.
Unfortunatly his fighters are meeting good guys.
His fighters are giving a good showing .. even Smith did for as long as he was standing.

Im sure i matched Sandman in a fight might have been wigan. It was an unusual one because i got payed on time thats why it sticks out.

Re: Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
Wally Dixons fault my memory of working for him is like the a hunter s thompson novel. Small points like the actual match making and fights pale in comparison to looking for his car the next day, trying to actualy find wally the next day.meeting in dark country roads in the middle of no where a month later for my wages
Watching him being pursued around the arena by angry officials looking for wages like a real life benny hill sketch.A fair turn of speed he had when needed

Had to laugh at this one, what's the craic with McGirt he always seems to turn up in corners but does nothing.Riddim wrote:iamasadlittleboy wrote:He is NOT a Buddy Mcgirt ( good fighters become crap) type of trainer.

Murray was lucky to remain undefeated in 2005. Mendoza couldn't miss him with his right hand and made such a mess of Murray's face the fight was stopped and then strangely went to the judge's scorecards.

I think it was stated as 49 wins in a row not completely undefeated.boxingfarmer30 wrote:I really dont know where this record comes from as joe trained a lad(pro) called scot sandman i think who lost in rainton meadows to south shields boxer chris mullen a couple yrs ago?????Now stattos does that not count on joes record.iamasadlittleboy wrote:What is it now? Re: Joe Gallagher's record as a trainer?
Any trainer who wears jeans whilst training or when in the corner is rubbish in my opinion, and yes that does include Roger Mayweather. However, Joe Goosen is exempt because his loud shirts are just amazing.steve689 wrote:Had to laugh at this one, what's the craic with McGirt he always seems to turn up in corners but does nothing.Riddim wrote:iamasadlittleboy wrote:He is NOT a Buddy Mcgirt ( good fighters become crap) type of trainer.
Also Buddy needs to lose the bluetooth headset, unless of course he is a taxi driver in his spare time.

Joe Goosen's shirts =
Although I should say that I've never seen Joe Goosen

& Gary Busey

in the same room together. If a meeting did in fact occur & they are not actually the same person, then I think the shirts might be the only way to tell them apart.
