i will not be purchasing a subscription because of frank warrens previous garbage. You can't change the nature of the beast and no doubt he will be putting on rubbish frequently and the standard will drop. plus you will be expected to pay extra for ppv fights, i can guarantee you

no you won't. It is a tenner a month and that is it. No mention of PPV so don't assume. some bills of his have been crappy in the past but how can you argue with what has been put on so far?

FW (Simpson), Hatton (Truscott), Maloney (Price), Hearn (Ward) have all fell victim to late pull outs recently. It's a tough sport and injuries happen. Why is FW pinpointed? Perhaps because he runs more shows than the others so odds on he will suffer more pull-outs!

Allegedly channel is purely boxing, so for roughly the same fee they are providing what? More or less the same, but just from one UK promoter and some sub HBO cards from the US and the odd German feed?

Are you telling me that your Sky Sports package is £10 a month? As I said before, Murdoch et al are ripping me off then! I am paying much more than that and I only get Sky for the boxing.

£1.25 per show or a tenner a month for the content they have put out so far is more than fair and no ppv's for the big events, no annual subscription, sauerland, goldenboy, top rank all involved.

And I don't see how you can call Hopkins, Bute, Donaire sub HBO! they are the top 3 players in their respective divisions.

If they keep up this, it's a no brainer IMO.
So you don't like any other sport than Boxing well this is right up your street. The trouble is the channel needs more casual fans to make it workwhich its not going to get.
I do like other sport but boxing is no.1 for me. The reality is that many casual fans won't buy it but we don't know how many they need to make it work. They mentioned 100,000 in a year but it seemed like that was what they were aiming for, not what was absolutley necessary to suceed. I hope you're wrong as getting more boxing on my box is good news in my eyes (maybe not in the missus' though!)

He can crack down on Streams but he can't stop all of them. If you know what and where to look, you will always find them. Not saying that is what I will do, but you can't stop the Internetz!

Agreed plus it's less then only a pint a week to watch top class boxing. What i like even more then the domestic action i'm getting is the international fights that take place on HBO and SHOWTIME rather then have to piss about trying to watch them on some crappy stream that keeps stopping.

I think all boxing fans should take a punt on this channel for 6 months(pay for 5 months and get 1 for free) and see how it goes, if you don't think they've delivered then fair enough you can cancel your subscription and move on but it's hardly a gamble as you'll have still got a whole load of great domestic and international match-ups in that time.

Yeah but I have been ripped off by Warren's crap and PPV's for a long time. It feels strange having to give this man more money after the various piss poor events he got me to pay for years ago.

It's not Warrens channel, he's just the main promoter at the moment for the fights on the channel but the more the channel grows the more promoters will be brought to the channel.

Also remember Box notion will aslo be showing the best international cards from Goldenboy, Toprank, Dibella entertainment, Main Events, Gary shaw promotions and other promoters plus action from European, Japanese, Mexican and all around the world.

yeah it'll be interesting to see what he does if he secures a big fight.

looking at how poor the crowd was the other night he's gonna need another source of income. :OhYes:
There was probably about 5,500 at best there and some of them from competition. Nowhere near the 7500 that they said was sold. Still a good crowd for boxing.

I won't subscribe. Frank is a coont, who's reputation when making fights precedes him. In 6 months, do people honestly believe the standard will be the same as now? I wouldn't be surprised to see 90% of his marquee names fighting TBA or people I haven't even heard of - and remember, he doesn't need to have quality-control.

Frank without quality-control - scray shit innit.

He a shareholder so I would say he has a large say in things. The more boxing the better but it needs more than us hardcore on the forums to subscribe and thats going to be the problem.

Again read my above post, Warren is merely one element in Box notions plans for the future plus it's the international boxing cards they'll be showing that is the selling point for me more so then just the domestic action.

Agreed and as i explained to Buncy the only way you'll get the casuals to subscribe is either by having Pacquiao or Mayweather fights on box notion or a popular British or American Heavyweight i.e Tyson/Bruno and now Tyson Fury.

Box notion have none of these things in place at the moment plus it's a crappy time of the year to start asking people to subscribe the month of December when people are a bit tight for xmas. Ideally they should have starting charging in March plus have either Pacquiao/Mayweather exclusively signed and maybe Tyson Fury too.

Agree with that. But how long can they afford to not charge for watching it. Is the channel making any money from advertising?

On a side note, can the powers that be at allegedly consider this request please ?

A week on Friday, at the York Hall show, lets see Enzo win his fight, get showered (don't need to see that bit obviously), and then
commentate on the main event. That would be pretty cool :TU:

MachoMan09 wrote:Back in the mid-90s, I went to a brothel in Moscow. Anyway there were the most amazing girls you have ever seen strutting around the bar area serving 'free' drinks, sitting on your knee telling you how hot you were making them; we are talking genuine stunners barely wearing a stitch - heaven. So, two or three drinks in, one of the girls says "you want to have sex?". I say "Of course I do, how much?" She says "3000 rubles to the bar, 3000 rubles upstairs (I can't remember the exact figure, it ended up being about £150)". I thought that it sounded expensive but to get my dick wet in her, it was worth it...

So, she walks me over to the bar and I hand the chick there (also essence) 3000 rubles. The other girls says, "now we go upstairs". She grabbed my hand and leads me to the stairs, she then walked up them and I was just staring at her arse and almost creaming my kecks in anticipation. We get to the top of the stairs, she takes my hand again and walks to a door. She says "3000 for the room", I get my cash out and hand it to her. She opens the door and says "you go in there and get ready". She gives me this little wave and a peck on the lips. I went into the room, took my strides off, had a look in the mirror to make sure I was looking the dogs bollocks and then the door opened...

A middle-aged, fat, hag who looked like she'd just been brought in from a 14 hour shift picking spuds somewhere came tramping in. She looked like a cross between Jo Brand and Joe Stalin, only her tash was more impressive than Stalin's. I still shagged her as I'd paid for the service and the blokes minding the place probably didn't do refunds but I did feel a trifle duped and the experience was beyond lacklustre, albeit a good learning experience. Paying for stuff up front solely on the basis of a free sample put forward by those doing the selling is a dangerous practice.
HAha great story, though bet you felt properly mugged. Easily could happen though in one of those big brothels
