How does this man judge fights? What does he actually see? How could he possibly scored Purdy v Lynes a draw :o ...And its not the 1st time he's done it!

Time for some new faces on the BBBofC gravy train, issues like this do our sport no favours at all.

Anyone remember this

Enough said. He had a chance to learn his lesson and instead got to referee Pascal v Hopkins II...he'll get a world title fight in a few weeks again.

Was disgusted by Ian-John Lewis' scorecard tonight.
The BBBC should suspend his license - he's made a mess of things too many times now.
Enough is enough!

His 114-114 card tonight was an absolute disgrace. I am usually against blasting the officials, but I had the fight 119-110 myself and no one else seemed to have Purdy winning more than 3. I am just glad his card didn't cost Lynes the fight tonight as the result was well deserved.

We need someone to weed through the BBBofC as the number of poor score cards, quick stoppages and the ilk are far too common.

I didn't watch the fight but looking at updates Lynes appeared to have won well. On the issue of Ian John Lewis and judging. The BBBofC has got to start to take things more seriously now. British officials have a good reputation and are involved in big fights very regularly and it is good for British boxing, however they can't let their best referees and judges act out of order at a local level. Local / area level is the grassroots and if the referees continue to get away with it at local level then they may try their luck at bigger fights.

IJL should be suspended from referring/judging without further notice whilst a full investigation from the bbbofc takes place regarding his judgements of late, the man is nothing short of a disgrace to british boxing.

I know IJL only as an official. I used the word 'hate' to communicate my feelings toward him when he serves in that capacity.

The way Ian John Lewis scored last nights fight was a total embarrassment to Britsh Boxing. How anyone without boxing knowledge could score Lynes Vs Purdy a draw is totally beyond belief never mind a professional involved in the sport for 15+ years. Even Purdy shook his head at the final bell indicating he knew he'd lost.

I'm not saying he is corrupt but its not the first time he's been way out or the first time he's been investigated. He also scored the Tony Hill V Kerry Hope a draw just last week which was shocking. Infact, just about every time I see him on the judging panel he's been way out.

IMO, Ian John Lewis should be sacked and never be able to judge a boxing match again. This is peoples lives and careers, lads that are putting months in training just to be made a mockery of. If I was this inept in my job, I'd be finished, no doubt.

It's beyond belief that we find ourselves once again discussing the same wefewee after further poor scoring. I'm going to start a thread the next time he scores a fight accurately. I won't hold my breath mind.

I'm watching this now and cannot even see Purdy winning a round. IJL is taking the piss if he saw that as a draw. It's a disgrace!

Imagine if you'd had money on a Lynes UD?

I rarely criticise refs and judges because it's a harder job than people realise.

But I had that 120-109.
