Matty Hall

Post by Dioufy »

Impossible not to like, but something with him has gone forever. He lost to the Bulgarian, in a fight weirdly were I had him winning, but he himself candidly stated he lost it. Bizarre. I honestly thought you won that, Matthew, 4-2.

Anyways, looking at the allegedly schedule, he's fighting in an elimanator for the British belt, a fight I believe was penned in before it was assumed he'd blow away that fat Bulgarian (who was deceptively alright). Is it going to end in another loss for him?

Sadly I think so - should've stayed retired.

Then stayed retired after all the hints during the ringside interview after the loss to the Plovdiv man.

On that From he would have got stopped by Kris Carslaw but if he brings his real game to the table then should be good fight.

He's gone has our Matty. He's tried to get it back, but IMO, it's never ever coming back.

yea hes tough boy , i actually know him so may be biased but i havent saw him professionally fight yet

has made a few of his proffesional fights hard as likes to trade im told and has had hand trouble in few fights

as an amateur he switched alot and was in commenwealth games got beat of Indian Guy Vijinda or something who was huge,

Kris is quite small for the weight but solid and this is good fight for him to get at this time

I think he should fight in the eliminator against Carslaw. It would be a better fight to retire on than the fight against the Bulgarian fighter.

If he loses he retires, if he wins then he fights for the British title.

Matty and I sparred hundreds of rounds together when I was in Manchester with Brian Hughes. The boy can wallop hard, take a good shot and is a smashing, honest guy and has to be respected. Seemed a different fighter on Friday to the one that lost a few weeks ago, thought he won the fight a lot wider than the scores given. Really made up for him and hope he can get a title shot out of this. Well done Matty Hall :OhYes:

Nuff respect to him for Friday's performance, it wasn't back to his best, but it was such an improvement on his last showing that you still feel he has something to offer at least. I feel a vintage Hall would have put Carslow away in the mid rounds, but he showed hunger, desire and picked some good shots throughout the fight.

I was surprised by Matty's performance on Friday night, he looked so flat and dispirited just 4 weeks ago. But really put in a good showing against Carslaw, the timing and workrate was really there for him.

And Carslaw can take something out of the loss as well, he wasn't outclassed and took some big shots , so he might be able to get himself back in an eliminator soon.

Matty Hall looked like a completley different fighter and was well fired up, maybe its he been around a long time and needs meaningful fights as he cant motivate otherwise, anyway he looked great be good to see him fullfill his potential.
