My best friend asked me a question I can't answer...

Which fight in the last 30 years was attended by the most big shot celebrities?

Any ideas?

I'm not sure anyone keeps statistics on that type of thing, but if limited to the last 30 years I would guess Tyson/Spinks.

In fairness this is an inpossible question. Larry Merchant types would have the best view of such things, but I don't suppose they would care tbh

I think Tyson-Spinks might beat Holmes-Cooney, but Leonard-Hagler is a very good candidate.

In my lifetime it has to be TFOTC. Take a look at the pics that show ringside attendance. Not many faces you can't name if you were up on all the celebs and money faces of that day. Granted some were money people and not purely famous, but I'm thinkin there were very few "Joe six packs" in attendance. And the "Joe six pack" folks that bought tickets ended up selling them to either a "face" or a "wallet".

I think we would all agree, but the OP limited it to the last 30 years.

I'd imagine Leonard vs Hagler or Hearns.
