i remember the fight before pascal wen smith was forced to box on the retreat against the strong african but he still stood & fought hard with the lad.

maybe he did move more but i cant remember, i think going to bg deffo made him into a bull in a china shop.

Smith doing a good job on allegedly tonight, nice to see.

Alot have been slagging him off on threads, but reading his quotes in BN this week about the Groves fight he came across a very sporting person.

Smith said "Great shot, I didn't see it and don't remember it, but thats boxing. No excuses from me, I got caught with a good, clean shot, Credit to George, powerful kid, big puncher who caught me and i paid the price"

Fair play, never thought I'd hear anybody calling to see a Mendy fight.

Yeah, he's doing good. Sometimes goes quiet for LONG periods but when he does speak, he speaks well.

But you call someone "kid" one more time I may have to watch Groves vs. Smith for the 46th time.

Well he didn't say kid once in the McKenzie fight.

I can't believe that Paul Smith the co-commentator is the same guy who previously used to post on this forum and who comes across as being quite obnoxious on Twitter. I really enjoyed listening to Paul tonight - he came across as humble, considered and articulate. He didn't feel the need to talk for every second of every round and made a number of well-considered points. I'm looking forward to hearing Paul co-commentate again.

If you are commentating alongside John Rawling you will always sound good

Well Smith could do with a quick and easy win to get that Groves loss out of his system. :box:
