Where did the OP stipulate that they had to have fought for anything more than an alphabet title?

He didnt. I just find it rather depressing EVERY fight is for a world title today.

Thats why I tend to blinker myself to the lineage, or Ring.

..there are only two fighters who won three legit world titles at three different weights ...bob fitzsimmons and henry armstrong. this is not boxing trivia...it is well known.

I'm with GI here. Don't call fights Championship fights if nobody involved is the Champ. Paper titles aren't respected by true fans, and BOTP is mostly frequented by the true die-hard nuts of the sport.

Not EVERY fight. Roy Jones vs Max Alexander was merely for the UBO Intercontinental and IBS North American titles. So no world titles there.
