George Chuvalo vs David Tua. What If?

Post by KOJOE90 »

What do you think the outcome would be if these two dreadnoughts George Chuvalo and David Tua had clashed in their respective primes?

Both these guys were very durable, strong fighters with good power.

Would Tua be too strong for Chuvola and be able to bully him around the ring? Or would Chuvalo's higher workrate and underated bodypunching allow him to out hustle the Tuaman?

Over 12 rounds who wins? :box:

Chuvalo

Better stamina, more active, under-rated jab. Stamina being the key in my opinion. Chuvalo was always in excellent shape while Tua even in the 220s was soft.

I'm with Chuvalo

It was the golden age and only Foreman and Frazier were able to stop this guy. I'm not seeing Tua adding his name to that list. And GC does not lose a decision to this guy. Tua's best performance on the long haul was in a losing effort with "he who's name we do not speak." I dont think Tua can turn in an Oscar Bonavena performance against GC

12 or 15 championship rounds you name the number Chuvalo wins this by Decision.

Chuvalo would eat Tua like Foreman eats a bucket of fried chicken.

Chuvalo wins easily because he threw more punches and I don't think Tua would like the inside fighting with Chuvalo.

Tua is a case of wasted potential. If Tua threw combinations and had a fighting mentality, with that iron chin, he might have been on par with the great years of Tyson. Who would beat an iron-chinned fighter who takes everything and then dishes back with twice the power?
