Why are people so suprised that marquez beat manny?
in there first two fights marquez did outclass manny but got too gunho, started taking risks and got put down, this time he kept his nerve / head all the way
I'm sure this marquez ( looked a solid welter ) would do a lot better against mayweather
At the end of the day good boxers will always beat manny, morales showed that in their 1st fight, where he even turned southpaw to take piss out of manny in the last round
manny is good against fighters - who come on and have a war with him, then his devastating power comes into play - hatton and cotto, barrera and morales 2 and 3
Mayweather beats manny but believe me it will be closer than marquez fight, as marquez is very use to manny now and knows all his moves and tricks, I reckon manny's the fastest fighter mayweather has ever fought, and the speed will surprise him as it did marquez in their first two fights.
If mayweather fights like he did against Corrales then I reckon manny fight will be similar with mayweather countering and manny looking / following without punching too much, waiting for mays counters

Manny is a boxer while JuanMa is a counter-puncher, Manny finds it difficult to solve Marquez style coz Marquez mimics Manny's way style of fighting in the ring. Marquez was not outboxed and he landed more solid than Pacquiao. After watching the fight 3 times; I scored it a draw or a Majority win for Marquez buy 115-114 on all judges cards.

Manny is better as a puncher slugger than a highly skilled boxer
he needs to go back to his old days where it was more search and destroy no matter who it was, whereas nowadays his trying to be all technical boxer, uses his head and skills
He is a more natural fighter than a boxer. His never been as good as Marquez, Barrera or Morales but has beaten them by fighting them, no doubt if he tried to box like against marquez against the others he would have lost them as well
he can ko mayweather but has lost his killer instinct - eye of the tiger, his achieved what he wanted to achieve and past his best, more interested in politics etc
